Injuries happen guys. This team can beat a Durantless Warriors in a 7 game series me thinks. The team has improved enough since that '15 run to challenge a injured Warriors team. Full squad? Nah. We need hoodie Melo for a punches chance even.
Regarding the Warriors: The 2004 Lakers were also unbeatable, with Kobe, Shaw, Malone, Payton, Fisher, Fox, Harvey Grant, etc. 4 HOFers and a first-class bench. Got their asses kicked 4-1 in the finals by a solid Pistons team with 0 HOFers whose best player was named Chauncey, for f*#k's sake. My point, in case it flies over some heads: The Warriors will almost certainly win the title if a) they stay healthy, b) they stay happy and there are no locker room issues, c) they don't lose momentum at the wrong time. If any of those things happen, they're beatable. If none of those things happen, they're still beatable, although some team would have to be playing out of their minds.
That durantless team won 73 games and almost won a ring, and even excluding Durant they got better with ring chasers.
15 squad is both underrated and overrated. 2nd seed was by 1 game and it took some miraculous playoff play to make it to wcf ... That said , we were a great team and if not for injuries could have made things very interesting vs warriors. Playoff Howard was a thing ... And he played the wcf on an injury. Dmo and Beverley were having great years and would've been nice players to have in the playoffs. Imagine if we had Beverley to throw out there vs terry and prig . And Dmo and smith vs smith and jones . This years squad hasn't played a game yet.
This team is obviously way more talented, but Harden was just a killer that year. Hopefully he brings the same mentality this year.
