    Quick question: What scenario is better for hypothetical team?
    A) Carmelo Anthony gets hurt and you are stuck with his salary this year and next
    B) Ryan Anderson gets hurt and you are stuck with his salary this year and next and next

    Carmelo being on the Knicks is not their worst case scenario.

    think u have to take into account that Melo being there also comes with a bunch of drama and distraction

    Imagine if Dwight had opted in to his contract with us and we were stuck with him for another year and had to deal with all that nonsense.

    Ryno could also become a valuable expiring contract that could be moved after that 2nd year

    Melo isn't Dwight. He isn't going to cause drama.

    Hell, even when PJAX was publicly ringing the "SHAME! SHAME!" bell as he walked behind Melo, Melo still refused to act like a brat.

    U don't think there will be drama and distraction once the Knicks start losing and the players are being bombarded with questions every day about Melo's situation and that cloud is hanging over the organization?
