    Moreso, if you do trade Porz for BKN and unload Melo, that would nearly guarantee you get the #1 pick in the draft, because you would cement a guaranteed tanked season, thus have two very high picks (BKN and your own), and double the chance you win the lottery.

    Plus, you could still get a low first for Melo, that a 3rd team pays, and you'd have the likely #1, and another Top 5 and a low first.

    Trade goes something like this

    CLE - BKN and Love out and Porz and Melo in
    NYK - BKN plus another FRP in and Melo Porz out
    3rd Team - Love in and FRP to Knicks out. (plus salary filler)​

    Willing to bet Cle might even throw in Thomas to Knicks if pressed....at the end of the day that's Irving for Porz and Crowder and the other guy....a good haul. And Thomas to Knicks won't hurt their tanking aspirations much at all, with him injured and no one else there. When he comes back, he just ballhogs them to losses.

    Uhg. It's almost infuriating how messed up the Melo situation is. Just out of curiosity has anyone gotten a response from anyone from the Knicks with all the tweeting and email bombarding?

    Maybe the Cavs will trade the BKN pick elsewhere for a good player and a worse pick and then try to trade that pick for Melo in a 3 way trade?

    For example Drummond + Detroit 1st + a backup pg, for Shumpert + BKN pick
    and then Detroit first for Melo.
