Yikes! He has reportedly been named starting QB this thurs. I supposed he was asked about his ankle and said he's good to go.

That young man has never lacked for confidence. And leadership. Could he inspire a ragtag offensive group this Thurs?

If his knee injury was no issue when Clemson battled South Carolina in his freshman year, what would be an ankle, right?

Oh prayers should be said day and night that he won't get a serious injury.

    The future begins now ...

Texans may agree with you. But texans also gotta realize as a organization that you gotta know amd take care of the player's that are crucial to the success of the team. Offensive line is Duane Brown. You guys think DJ Reader can replace Wilfork whose name and experience alone is hard to replicate. Secondary has always been a little suspect to me. Line needs to block better for whatever qb is in the game but as far as Savage goes i refuse to come up with excuse after excuse for this guy as years pass by. We did that with Schaub. Either you can make things happen or you ain't. Regardless of the situation we need to see something like some will and determination to spark greatness otherwise develop Watson and let him grow up get through the mistakes.

They did take care of him, he still refused to show up to work while still under the massive contract they gave him. Given that he doesn't care enough about his teammates or the team to show up for work and be one of the highest paid players in the league, he's not the type of person you want around anyway.

Tom Savage was Tom Savage nothing more nothing less...A.J. Boo-yaah now on possibly the best Defense in the AFC, (he's better than Kevin Johnson), and no Duane Brown...so the result wasn't that shocking aside from how bad it looked.

Well if the texans don't want to take care of him then fine... but at least take care of the team specifically the o line. Thsy have the

They are not taking care of him in a geniune way... you know like how they take care of Rick Smith. Duane Brown is being what the young generation calls finessed!

Yeah the player's that really mattered didn't get acknowledged enough. That causes a circus. Now you don't have enough guys that can play dirty and do the things that don't show up on a stat line but are very valuable to the success of any team.

They made him one of the highest paid players at his position in the NFL.....so yeah they really are taking care of him, but that's not stopping him from throwing a temper tantrum and refusing to show up. Like I said, he's clearly not the type of player you want on a team given that he simply does not care about a team that always took care of him. Let him retire and sell crystals with his wife if he doesn't want to play out his contract.

3 INTs and benched at half.

    Neither QB is good.

Whoever starts will be benched at half, as is customary.

The guaranteed money is not enough and the proper adjustments haven't been made to his contract. Texans have always asked players to restructure contracts in the past for their benefit so do something this time for a players benefit alone. Sometimes you gotta admit your mistakes correct them and move on. Duane is needed on this team badly. Do what you gotta do for the benefit of winning and protecting your QB... sounds like the texans should take that to heart more than Duane Brown.

Players have the choice to sign contracts with only guaranteed money. They typically prefer contracts with unguaranteed money as more risk leads to more money.
