    Ofcourse Knicks want Jabari. Bucks don't want to give him up like that. Even if it's a first it would make no sense. They'd prefer to keep Parker over a lottery pick and Ryno. Yes they're going to have to pay him but why make Giannis play with an even younger player who'll have to develop than Jabari

    So you just now figured out all that "Haul ass to 500" stuff was completely unnecessary and just cluttering the thread and pissing off people.

    It's not denial. I saw your Melo and KP to Cleveland trade and I don't see how something like that would happen at all. KP for Kyrie Irving was a non-starter for the Knicks, but they'll just give him up for a package that features the BK pick? The chances that the BK pick will produce a better prospect than KP are very slim. The Knicks are already in a position to get a high lotto pick that they can add to their core of KP, Frank, and Willy. KP might be a little disgruntled, but that doesn't mean that u just ship him out before he even begins his 3rd season. Melo+KP to Cleveland is just fantasy, and like I said earlier, the Cavs will need to get a bonafide star to add to Lebron for that BK pick while also adding Melo to their team in any 3-way deal.

    Man, you guys need to think outside the box. Every time we want to downplay a trade scenario from happening, we pretend 3 team deals never happen. Imagine you are CLE fan and Morey was their GM. Do you really think we all say, "Ah, Morey won't be able to do anything. Surely he knows BKN for Melo is stupid. We might as well just give up, despite having these two new shiny objects to trade."

    I'll repeat from above,

    I'm not one to get involved in trade speculation, but has no one here actually tossed around the idea of CLE going for a package of Porzingis and Melo, since Porkchops is somewhat disgruntled....and NYK's might be able to sell the fans on the BKN pick plus another FRP, to create a tanking year resulting in two Top 5s in the same draft...plus a 3rd FRP. Two Top 5 picks increases your odds tremendously to land the #1, and that is worth trading Porzingis for. And Porzingis coming to CLE wih him is worth Melo deciding to wave the NTC, if Knicks insist they will never trade him to us.

    It would be really easy to tank while still having Thomas scoring a bunch of points. Hell, telling Thomas to go ballhog might actually make it easier.

    Is there really no one working the trade machine for a 3-way deal like this. which might get Melo to wave his NTC:

    CLE = BKN+Thomas+Love out and Melo and Porzingis In
    NYK = BKN+Another FRP+Thomas in and Melo/Porz out
    3rd Team = Love in and FRP to Knicks

    If I were the Knicks and I'm taking back Jabari. I would make the trade sending the first but make it top 5 protected. 2018 is top 5 heavy anyways. If the Knicks pick 6, there getting a end of the line starter/ bench guy

    Sorry, NYK are not going to trade a true, blue unicorn in Porzingis who is just coming into his own. Any trade proposal that includes him makes no sense with the Cavaliers.

    Imagine you are a Knicks fan. Would u give up Porzingis for a package featuring that Brooklyn pick? I definitely wouldn't. What does that really accomplish for NY?

    Sorry if I haven't read far enough back to see this point addressed, but while I think this is a novel trade scenario, I still wonder if this would be enough for Melo to waive the NTC for Cleveland. I assume Melo doesn't want to be a victim of the "Dwyane Wade Paradox," which is where a player is forced to pick up a lucrative option for a team he doesn't want to play for because their other really good player is gone and now the team sucks. Maybe you addressed this HeyPartner, but I think given how few teams will have max money next year, it'll be hard for Melo to recoup the money at the end of his option if he opted out. He may opt in, but that would be painful if Lebron left.

    Denial is working way too hard to dismiss away every possible problem, to prevent fears from being real. Sure, everything anyone says you can disregard. But, imo, this is either Fake New or something new to fear ... and the ONLY thing preventing it is Melo's NTC...so we pray.

    You honestly think if Morey was the CLE GM he'd just pack it in and not even try ... and no CLE fans would even expect him to. I wish I could think as simply as you to prevent any complexities in my life.

    That's not how you look at it. It's the other way around. Why would you cling to a disgruntled Porzingis and be a middle of the road team forever, when you have a perfect Tank job staring you in the face.

    Thomas + BKN + another FRP = a tank year to produce another great pick

    You end up with BKN, Your own Top 5 and another FRP. Two Top 5s nearly guarantee one of them gets the #1 pick. That is better than Porzingis. You just have to swallow a tanking year. And then you can still decide to resign Thomas...or drop him again for another tanking year playing 3 rookies.
