I think at that point he was testing him. The game was over at that point.

It was clear to me Watson is better than Savage, was clear to me after the first pre-season game.

The failing was on the coach here who didn't realize that and didn't have him better prepared for the first game and instead throws out comfort QB because of loyalty and not merit.
