I hope that's Fiers' last FU to this team. Same with Gregerson. A two pitch pitcher who isn't sharp has no business getting in a game at this point.
Looking past this game... I don't think Fiers should even be in the bullpen. I think he will be even worse when not a starter. He usually performs horribly first time through the order. Then gets better later on. In a relief role he provides nothing.
The Gregerson move is the one I don't get. Let's not forget Correa and Yuli going K-(IBB)-GIDP with 2 RISP each and <2 out in the 5th(?)
Feliz is at least young and has some good stuff. He just needs some maturity and confidence back. He was lights out earlier. Hinch used him in some bad spots as well. I wouldn't have ever let that guy pitch if he wasn't starting at the beginning of an inning. He faltered every time he did. That probably hurt his confidence. But I really don't want to see anymore of Fiers, Liriano, Gregerson.
Yep and these are the things that worry me ! I feel sometimes this team gets complacent with a lead then you add in terrible managing. I have always felt this much talent would be even better with a better manager
Yeah... the Gregerson one is baffling to me too. Bases loaded and no one out in the 7th... don't let it get out of hand, go to Devo or Joe and get out of it. Instead it is tied and he goes to Joe anyway. Certainly lots of mistakes by the hi
