I'm sceptical but a curious sense of scepticism because it makes sense given the information that's come out.

I wonder if Morey is pushing Melo's patience.
Morey doesn't have the assets Knicks wants, and he wants to keep his favorite players. Meanwhile Melo is stuck in this poor situation, I wonder if he'd be upset that Morey is doing nothing significant to push it forward after Melo declared for Rockets. I mean you can't blame Knicks for not willing to take junk contracts back.

HIghly doubt it, a lot of this is driven by Harden and Paul. They are talking to Morey and Melo and everyone is on the same page. Morey will include Ariza if Paul and Harden agree, but they haven't yet. I feel like the players are playing chicken with Mills and Morey is just the messenger.

I get what you're saying, and not trying to be difficult, but how is him opting in for another year after this worst than having a Ryno for 2 more years after this? Atleast after this year you give a team like Houston a chance to improve assets, as well as giving him an option to expand his list after he sees what Lebron and others do.

you know the knicks first priority is to move on from Melo right?

so instead of being an distractment and waste of capspace for one year it'll be two

I said earlier that Anderson is more easily tradeable going forward and has more trade value than Melo locked in until 2019 with a no trade clause. I posted that before the Woj/Lowe convo. They see it the same way.

Not to mention, you're still not getting it. Mills has already agreed to move him for both his sake and the franchise sake. It's over. Melo is playing good soldier. He wants to stay popular in New York. They want him gone in the most economical way possible with no stink. It simply didn't work and time has run out. They're giving Melo what he wants, a legit shot at a title, and he's giving them what they want, silence to get the best possible deal they can get under the circumstances.

Both sides are being honourable here to benefit each other as much as possible. After trade is complete expect both sides to say good things about the other. Melo loves NY and it was his dream to play there and win a championship there. But the clock is ticking on the championship thing. He's got to move. He knows it. And they know it. They're simply not going to be able to put together a championship roster over the next two to three years at least. It's over in New York. Guys, he's a Rocket.

I don't understand your question. Perhaps it was meant for someone else.

Sorry but you're simply not getting it. I understand Mills is ready to move on from Melo. But he WILL NOT trade him to us with a package based around Ryno and not much else. Three team trade or not it's not like a 3rd team will surrender a lottery pick or anything worth while just to let us have Melo. Yes a lot of teams could use Ryno's shooting; but not at $19 mil for the next three years UNLESS it's for equally unattractive contracts (ie Myers Leonard), which won't get New York any closer to accepting. People really have to stop pretending like this is a done deal. It's actually getting ridiculous. Hopeful (the opposite of me being doubtful) is more than ok even if I disagree with it. But no, it is absolutely not a given or a done deal.

NBPA president Chris Paul is basically the godfather of CAA (His and Carmelo's agency) right now, they'd know, unofficially, but they'd know

Melo wants to win at this point, getting impatient in hope your 1 shot at winning a title sacrifices their chances at winning or agreeing to go to an also ran is a bit like negotiating by pointing a gun at your own head.

It's a decision. No way we will get Melo for the package of Ryno +filler + a pick. Unless Morey put a bloody horse head in Mills' bed. Or if he can find some idiots to take Ryno and surrender good assets to NYK. That idiot is yet to show up.
