One positive of Harvey - bringing people together and helping one another

Craig Carton, who calls himself “loudmouth,” does a show with former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason.

During their broadcast earlier this week, he started out by calling the GRB Convention Center “a dump.”

“This whole city is a dump. You get to the airport, you’re greeted by nine homeless guys,” Carton said. “Then you get to the hotel, there’s more homeless guys.”

He went on to complain about the construction downtown and called Houston a “city that’s not prepared to host a Super Bowl.”

Yeah, that's EXACTLY how that reads. Wrong! (as usual)

But, you know, what? Keep believing whatever your delusional mind keeps telling you. The ugly truth is that I might act like a dick 30% of the time- most of the time, I'm respectful and even admit when I'm wrong (not this time). You're a dick 95% of the time, and everyone on here knows it. So, your quasi-altruistic thread holds less than zero weight. Good day.

If you watch the entire 5 minute or so monologue you will see that the first part is true. On the President's initial visit, he didn't meet with victims. Colbert did not say that he "watched the disaster from far away". Colbert continued on to say that Trump took an "emotional mulligan" and went back.

So, the first part of the monologue clearly referenced the President's August 29th visit and there were no "lies" involved.

 

Wait a minute. "Chicken fried steak sucks?" Stopped reading right there!

Don't get me wrong, everyone- I am very proud the way Houstonians, Harris Countians, Texans, and Americans came together. At the same time, someone that has been an ass for as consistently long as he has doesn't get a free pass.

 

Okay so why even mention it? Was it so important to announce that he didn't meet with people or get close to flood water on his first trip? Why no mention of Trump not wanting to take away any resource on his first trip? These people have clear agenda.

1. If you're so feeble-minded and emotionally stunted that you can't handle profanity, I would suggest you go to a Children's Forum or elsewhere. This forum would be for adults who can handle the occasional profanity.

2. No one on this board embarrasses himself more than you, with your ridiculous clown-act of "son," "bub," etc. You're a walking parody, and everyone knows it.

3. When you start a thread about people coming together, and you've basically spent the last decade on this board creating a huge divide by being a condescending jerk, you may want to refresh your memory on what HYPOCRISY means.

You can respond all you want after this, I have nothing more to say b/c the large majority of posters know exactly what I mean. As I said, this is a good first step for you. If you continue to be decent and not revert back to your typical smarmy self, perhaps most of us would start to take you seriously. Most of us on Facebook are engaging with each other and discussing how wonderful it is that everyone is coming together. What you fail to realize is that you have brought all this on yourself. I don't care one bit about bringing this thread down b/c, as I've said, I and many others on here have been conversing with others on other forums, and in the other Harvey thread, about coming together.
