Shoutout to Hinch for his bullpen management. Done extremely well mixing and matching recently to make sure he isn't overusing anyone. Props to Martes for a really good outing in a big situation.
Not only did maybe win the last two games, but he made the Astros cover the run line out of no where! Tuesday (1 of our only 2 hits, puts us up 3-1). Wednesday (go ahead 2-run HR in the 9th to make it 5-3). Let's get paid, Cam! Lol
Seven straight wins...but most importantly seven straight rline wins! Time to unload in the Oakland series.
Hoping the Red Sox have nothing to play for to end the season as they look like the only reason we don't finish the season on some kind of crazy 20-3 stretch. We own the AL West and need to beat the living hell out of the White Sox for sweeping us at our low point of the season and how they seem to be laying down for the Indians right now.
Astros have miraculously pulled to within 6 games of the Dodgers. What's more amazing is the DBags have cut a 20 game deficit in half. The hated Indians continue to win.
Unless I misheard (seems inaccurate)... this is first time in league history 2 teams have won 13+ consecutive games simultaneously. Radio broadcaster said, "Indians are the clear AL favorite". Favorite is understandable, but CLEAR seems a stretch. Off topic (seems weird)...... Seattle has WNBA but no NBA.
Cleveland should have to forfeit the season for having an racially insensitive mascot. Looking at their remaining schedule, that might be the only way they lose again this year.
Well, I'll shut up about Maybin not being hot. Clear favorite? They're in the conversation but I can't call them THE favorite...not with the Astros getting healthy and with Verlander.
Its really comes down to six teams. I think there is a 90% chance the WS teams for this year will emerge from this list. AL - Astros, Indians, Red Sox NL - Dodgers, Nationals, Diamondbacks
I made 2 preseason bets: HOU-LAD World Series matchup (26-1) and ARI wins NL pennant (60-1). I have a chance!
I think favorite is understandable since they're the champs and have are 5-1 against us this year. "Clear" is what I'm trippin on.
Making a proclamation nearly a month out would be mostly guesswork. I wasn't trying to. Just truncating the unlikely teams so the contenders are more easily identified. This isn't a proclamation either, but those six teams are close enough in talent that the WS winner will be determined by whose playing best playoff time. Whose hot and whose not is a week to week thing in baseball. As fast as a few of these teams have heated up, they could cool down just as fast. The next three weeks should be interesting.
