that's fine, but an OPS off of 3 hits (and 2 walks) isn't a super relevant number. He's not doing much, and he mashed 2 balls. I'm happy with him for sure because expectations were low and Fisher/Jake are not good or inconsistent, but saying he's hot is just wrong.
There is a certain magic right now with Maybin that stats don't account for. I would've played him tonight for sure before the Thursday break. But I know nothing.
Can't control what they do. Just gotta keep winning. Lance's fastball command was good in that first inning. Encouraging.
against the tanking White Sox in September. If they were going to lose, this wasn't going to be the series I'd have picked
It's not like they were going to be swept by the White Sox. When has that ever happened to a first place team this year? ..................
His swings have been awful. So perfunctory with no power at all. He is washed up except for drawing walks. We don't even need him for his "old guy" leadership anymore with Verlander. He can translate for Altuve and that's about it. I don't trust him much as a playoff performer. If we need a fat Hispanic I'd rather take Centeno.
lol, M's broadcast noted that they've had to face Keuchel, Verlander, and now LMJ....followed by the PBP guy: "Where's Mike Fiers when you need him?"
I guess I have a different definition of what a .214 average means. The hr last night was huge, though
