Angels lost, magic number down to 10. Could be celebrating by Tuesday.

Yeah. It's almost like early in the season again, when teams we faced had higher SOS solely due to playing us multiple times. Let them eat cake!

I wonder if the Astros org just isn't that concerned with getting 1st. Playing Kemp and stassi. I guess being healthy and rested for playoffs is priority.

Huh? They have won six in a row mixing and matching position players.

I know guys need rest, but it seems a major cog is missing every night. I guess that is the problem you have when you got a lot of cogs :)

Altuve has needed a night off for a while, and the last couple of games, he's clearly been pressing at the plate. I think the next 2 days will do him some real good, and rejuvenate him for the stretch run.

Backup catcher is going to play 1/3 of games, and LF isn't impressive regardless.

Don't worry, this lineup is better than most team's best lineup. Hinch said getting home field advantage is a goal. Come playoffs the best lineup possible will be used.

    This.
Centeno defensively has not been good enough.

I literally was going to post about that. Welcome to the Astros Maybin. Your playing time will be determined by a flip of a coin each day.

Why should they play Centeno? With the exception of his 2 home runs and game winning single, he has done next to nothing offfensively.

Since that game winning hit, he is 5-34. Overall, he has a -0.2 WAR.

Might as well give Stassi some at bats.

He really isn't. The couple of homers have been nice and timely but, like bobrek said, he's 3-14.

Still...hard to quantify 3-14 as "hot as hell"
