Correct. There is no way this will come to Texas unless it stalls and hangs out down there for like a week. Which is not likely. This cold front that came through early this morning, and providing us with this BEAUTIFUL weather, saved our butts in regards to Katia and Irma. If that front hand't come, we COULD have had Harvey, Katia (came out of nowhere) and Irma to possibly deal with in the western/central Gulf of Mexico. That would have been very scary.
Spoiler The return flight out of SJ. I can't see embedded tweets are they are blocked @ work....I'm assuming though this was posted already.
Man. The Jags were trying to do the Texans a solid by hosting the season opener in Jacksonville ......crazy that they are now in the target path of a major storm.
Yeah, if I'm a Miami resident of be scared as hell right now. F that noise. I'm evacuating for a cat 5 no doubt.
My mother in law lives on St. Martin/St. Marteen haven't heard from her since 11pm last night. Harvey already affected my family that stretches from Corpus, Houston Beaumont and Orange. Enough.
FTW Rockets FTW said: ↑ This is awesome! Thank you Les! Not surprising that it comes from a NBA guy. JJ Fatt and his 100k pales in comparison. If you want to contribute, make a decent contribution, don't just contribute for publicity. Thankfully Houston has the Rockets to save this city. Watt's fundraising effort is now over 28 million for our great city, unbelievable.
Wow. Hope for the best, man. That could just be because of communication lines being down because of the storm. I was watching video of it hitting St. Martin and man, that was scary as hell.
As of now, doesn't look too bad, even though they will still feel it. I know a few friends that evacuated SFL to Orlando area hotels.
I am in Orlando. At this point I dont think its going to be that bad. I am expecting Cat 3 winds at worse. Right now the projections are all over the map. Im really hoping the eye will stay 30-40 miles off the east coast.... far enough out where it wont devastate FL but close enough to slow it down for SC. The good news is the storm is moving at a pretty fast pace. Hopefully I have power back pretty quickly.
The Watt Foundation is now up to 27 MILLION and growing by the hour. Yep he sure in the hell is using his "social status and fame to get people to donate". People and corporations will continue to donate to the "Fatt fund" (as you put it). "Just don't come to me"......nobody is coming to you for ANYTHING.
Hurricanes may be terrifying catastrophic forces of nature but they are really beautiful and calming on these satellite images.
