Let DACA stay, and lower the expense and complications of would-be legal immigrants.

you people are a coward, afraid to make a tough choices and just pass the buck on to the next generation. You call us a monster for wanting to do the right thing that no body wanted to do. I am no monster, i do feel bad for them kids, but what choice do we have? If we don't show people we mean business and keep moving the line in the sand, nobody will respect us. If we don't do this now how can we ever hope to fix the problem? People will just keep bring their kids here and play to our emotion.

so its still be cheaper and easier to be an illegal and hope to get a citizenship than doing it the right way, this is not a solution.

I'm not bitter, lonely, and mad at the world like you so I wish you nothing but the best and hope you and your parents are blessed with good fortune.

That being said, it's the epitome of b****yness to use unintelligent name-calling while not having the balls to call someone out. Well, I'll let this resonate my former talking point more..good luck with everything bud.

You don't even seem to understand how DACA works. There is literally zero incentive to bring your kids here.

Anyways, Trump is already backtracking and laying the groundwork to extend it.

There is no one answer but a large one is cracking down on businesses that hire undocumented migrants.

If this dreamer act pass, 20 - 30 years later there will be another dreamer act waiting to pass. Rewarding the ppl breaking the law always invites more ppl to break the law. It is a never-ending game.

I am all for offering current illegal immigrants a way to stay, but not before the government first finds a way to secure the border. And illegal folks have to wait in line and behind legal immigrants who already wait year after year. It is just common sense.

"Literally imagine that you fill out some application some day and learn that, whoa, you were brought here illegally as a baby. Suddenly, for something your parents did, 95% of your life and work is out the window." I know someone who came to Texas as a baby because her formerly Mexican mother, now a US citizen, had her in Mexico as the mother was there visiting a very ill parent. I mentioned her earlier. She grew up in Texas, did great in school, and became a nationally ranked triathlon athlete. She received an athletic scholarship to, I think, the University of Southern California.

Upon graduation, she continued to compete and was allowed to stay in the States. While in college and in competition after graduation, everything was fine. Then she was injured and could no longer compete. After a long expensive legal battle paid for by her mother's American step-father, and despite her being college educated, working, and having never lived outside of the US, the young woman was deported to Mexico. She had missed out on the Dreamers program, which might have allowed her to stay. Her younger brother, born here in Texas, had no such problem. Her mother, now a US citizen, had no such problem. The young woman, a success story by any measure, was still considered by immigration to be a citizen of Mexico. She lives there now, unwillingly. How is that possibly fair?

If you DACA haters directed your energy towards automation in big corporations, maybe there would be jobs waiting for you and other Americans.

But I guess it's not as fun and easy to hate as the scapegoat of people with a different race/ethnicity/culture identity than yours.

LOL yet another emotional response devoid of fact or logic. At no point did you accurately respond to ANY of the criticism of DACA or offer any intelligent defense of it either. It's why it's so hard to take you guys seriously, I mean I know this is a fringe left board, but there's gotta be at least a few of our friends here out on the fringe left that can string together a coherent argument based on logic and fact while leaving the "feelz" behind for just a while.

The reason I ask is becuase you aren't going to convince anyone even halfway intelligent with a "feelz" based argument or calls for compassion devoid of fact and logic, you don't convince anyone even halfway intelligent with feeble insults that do nothing more than display your own ignorance. Even if your goal is just trolling, it's not successful if what you are saying is baseless.

Lol 'feelz' must be the new Breitbart sponsored word-of-the-day. Make it a little less obvious by not using it in every one of your posts. Chubby. Dork. Virgin. How you like dem feelz?

Questions: how are you just now learning this? How old would you be conceivably? Did you never attempt to attain a job or register for elementary school? Why are you just now after all this work you've done and life you lived why the **** are you just now seeing your birth certificate? There are not enough details for your scenario for the subject to be completely oblivious to the fact that they're in the country illegally. So if I lived my whole life in a country and never tried to attain citizenship and then one day the president says "if you're stupid enough to have never seen your birth certificate until today and you just realized you were born in a foreign country and brought in illegally, its cool, you can stay just sign this registry". Then five years later the new president says "yall remember all that **** that last dude said about immigration? Yeah well **** all that, yall got six months to get your **** together". Well then I'd first try and find a way to stay after all I'm comfortable here, I work, got friends, ladies, but in six months if it doesn't work out and if deportation is enforced then I'd chunk the ****ing deuce to the U, S of A and see what its like to be a Canadian or a Mexican or Irish or Nigerian or Brazilian or German or French or Spanish or whatever the **** they call people from Prague. Life isn't exclusive to America

I think the only way it would make sense that a person could get to any serious age before realizing that they were in the country illegally would be if their parents set you up with a stolen identity from a young age and never let you know that you were ripping someone off all along. Other than that, I'm sure it would come up that you don't have a social security number, can't get an ID or a drivers license, have never seen your birth certificate and can't get a copy of it.

I mean, it's a pretty far fetched scenario, but you aren't supposed to poke holes in it with reality or logic, you are supposed to just take it at face value and feel sympathy for the hypothetical person, after all, it's an emotional appeal, not a logical one.

Good point Cletus, has nothing to do with increased instability in a handful of Central American countries.

Christ, I wonder what it would be like to spend fifteen minutes in a brain as deficient as yours.

I have bobbytheGED on ignore, obviously, as should everyone who wants this site to function normally, but I'll take a moment to point out that once he was doxxed it took me ninety seconds to confirm that he does, in fact, live with his parents.

    Shocker, I know.

But what was rather impressive is the survey I did of Harris, Ft Bend and Brazoria Counties - neither of his parents is currently incarcerated in a county facility. So he has that going for him. A bit crowded there in the breakfast nook these days, what.

Regan did it 20-30 years ago. He gave amnesty to people. There is no way to secure the borders. If Mexico is poor people will come to America. A wall isn't going to stop them.
