Is it just me or is Miranda getting a strike zone the size of a metro bus?

His gripe with strike 2 was legit. But that last pitch was clearly a strike.

Miranda would pitch like prime Clemens tonight.

Fastball at 96, hard slider at 87, filthy curve at 80. Sheesh.

At the angle of the camera tonight, I'm not even gonna attempt to gripe about pitches. But I will gripe about taking a third strike. Take a swing. You know it's going to be close.

This is the best offense in baseball. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mariners making Verlander work for his outs here, already at 40 pitches.

JV will get through one of these innings at 10-12 pitches and be right back on pace for a nice 6-7 inning outing.

Damn, Verlander. When I watch him I see McCullers best case - I really hope those two have many long conversations.

Seems to be a phenomenon. Good pitcher. Hitter slack off. Look at 1986. Ryan got an average of 3.75 run support vs 4.24 for Bob slop thrower Knepper.
