This country shouldn't punish people for something the vast majority of humans would do given the circumstances. The vast majority given the same predicaments as DACA kids would not voluntarily deport themselves including you which makes your views far more disgusting based on the hypocritical nature.
Who cares if they aren't children? The point is many of them only know this country as their own. He'll, some of them speak can only speak broken Spanish and English naturally has become their native tongue just by being here for so long.
Exactly, which means that they've decided to remain in the country illegally for many years past when their actions are no longer able to be blamed on their parents. Did their parents put them in an awful situation? Of course, that's not in question. The question is about if we are going to enforce the law or if we are going to decide not to due to feelz and in doing so incentivize future generations to ignore the law which will make the problem worse.
I know, if only he passed the "Talking to Girls Assistance for Internet Weapons Experts Act of 2017" you would be set. Don't get your hopes up though, he has trouble getting things through congress I hear.
You and LosPollosRetardos insults are so off. You have to hit home for it to work. Say something about my parents house getting flooded.
Wrong, the dreamers program exists, they can't be blamed for taking advantage of a government program.
We get it. You don't give a tinker's continental damn about people who came here as children, who have been here ever since as Americans living the American Dream (which some conservatives care about - clearly you are not one of them), with some speaking only English, never having been to the countries their parents brought them from. You don't care. To make a completely lame comparison to Canadians coming to the States on a student visa simply highlights your ignorance. Hey, you should be proud, being a poster child for how many people overseas increasingly view an American in the Age of trump - greedy and uncaring about everyone else but themselves. Congratulations.
The program started 5 years ago.....they were illegal before that, they'll be illegal again now that the program is ending unless this time it's done the right way by being passed by congress. I don't blame them for taking advantage of executive overreach, but now that the program is ending, they won't be able to do so anymore....so they'll be back to being illegally in the country.....which is how they spent most of their lives.
Republicans in congress have blocked DREAM type legislation during the Bush and Obama administrations. Even now, all Democrats will approve a legislative fix or replacement... it will be up to republicans to support this without playing partisan games.
It's pretty silly to try to hold some self righteousness position and claim that people who grew up in a country should actively make their lives much worse, probably be unemployed and potentially put themselves in danger to be legal. I don't think anyone here would willingly deport themselves to Mexico or any other country south of the border with no prospects because someone came along and told you that you were illegal.
So why didn't Democrats pass it when they controlled congress? If it was as important as you seem to think, why wouldn't they pass it then?
I agree, we should have comprehensive immigration reform rather than bandaid executive orders. Now if only either party had total control of the executive and legislative branches...
Trump is too much of a p***y to announce it himself. He gets that Bigot Sessions to do his dirty work. Small hands, baby nuts.
6 month pressure...should be good enough. It really is about damn time that we address how to get people out of shadows and not having to live in a dream state...but in reality. The US Congress needs to set forth clear and nonpartisan guidelines on how to achieve this. I personally know med students and other young physicians who are on DACA status who are freaked out on what will happen. If Congress acts with meaningful legislation, we may finally stop kicking the can and then solely focus on securing our nations borders knowing that everyone within it are of legal status.
Your personal hatred for the guy clouds ur judgement. Several states have given the administration notice on action...and Sarah Huckabee clearly stated that the DOJ would need to address a "legal" matter.
Y'all know full well the GOP-controlled legislature won't fix this in six months. And Two Scoops knows it too. Why would they suddenly change their tune on Dreamers after opposing legislation on it for more than a decade? For Two Scoops, this is just "I hate Obama -- he was mean to me at a banquet!" Part 27, and "Feed the base" Part 26. Damn the human consequences. I'm at least glad DACA folks set to expire before March can still reapply. But it's still a sad day for this country. We should just go ahead and pay the money to turn the statue of liberty around. Would be cheaper than the dumb wall and more effective. Have her face New Jersey and moon the rest of the planet until we regain our bearings as a country. She's definitely not welcoming the huddled masses while we try to make America red-ass again.
