I get what you're saying, Lebron is still and clearly the best player in the world, with that said yeah, as today i wouldn't trade Harden for him all things considered.

You wrote, "That was your genius opinioin?"

That was not my opinion. That was what I said MAY happen faster then you expect. If you cannot differentiate those two concept, I don't know what to say. I know Harden fans are very sensitive to any shred of possible criticism. My post just caution the other poster not to be too confident that the Rockets were set for several years as a contender. Thing COULD go down hill fast. It had happened in Rockets history. It had happened to many teams' histories.

Again, that's not my "genius opinion." That's just some reality learned from being an NBA fan for decades.

If you think Harden is a better player than LeBron, you are either a delusional Rockets homer or a delusional Harden fan, or both. The only factor one might consider NOT trading Harden for LeBron straight up is age. If your team is in win-now mode, as the Rockets are, you do it in a heart beat.

if we had Lebon instead of harden 2016-2017 season,

1)how many wins do we end up during the reg season

and don't ignore my other statements and answer my questions and refute my points

    1) if he needed 10 days of rest last year playing with Kyrie and Love and ended up wth 51 wins in a weak east

    2) how many days rest woud he have needed if he played with the rockets all by his lonesome?

    3) and how many wins can he muster by himself in a stacked west?

    4) even Lebron will dread leaving the comfort of having 2 stars in the east and going to the west with a bunch of roleplayers.

Lebron for a 2 year deal or Harden then I would take LBJ but for a 5 year deal give me Harden.

Lol we would never be close to having to choose between LBJ and Harden.

Just because you are in "win now" doesn't mean you lose your mind, the NBA won't end after this season. Lebron is the type of guy who will not give you any guarantee of staying long term but he will still remake the team to his liking like asking players to be traded/acquired, having his homies in team positions and changing the coach and GM. Irregardless of his age Lebron's tenure on the team will be short because he will leave if there is a better situation for him elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with that since every player has the right to do what is best for him but at the same time when the alternative is a no ego, committed dude in Harden why will you change players? Lebron might be better but Harden is still a superstar in his own right so the difference is not worth the drama and the headache.

The only reason to trade for Lebron is if the owner will tear it all down in 3 years and turn the Houston Rockets into the Las Vegas Aces. Otherwise its a dumb move.

Also as an aside remember when Dallas won the championship? Do you think Mavs fans are happy with their team because they won a ring not so long ago(by NBA standards)? Every fan is always in "win now" mode and ready to mortgage the entire team for a couple extra Ws but next season they start b****ing about how their team got worse. All the Brooklyn fans were strutting around and JayZ even had a poster of him built when the Nets got KG, Dwill, Pierce and AK, nobody cared about all the picks he gave away. A year later the same people who said King built a power team was beating him up for trading so many picks away. What I'm saying is we need to grow out of this "win now" mentality. GSW is gonna win the ring anyway so even if you hypothetically trade Lebron for Harden they will still lose.

Fair enough about the possibility of him leaving after one season. I was ignoring the contract situation. Would you trade Harden for LeBron if they had the same contract length?

However, I wouldn't be so sure that just because Harden said, "I will never leave" he will definitely never leave.

Meh, not really. People will berate/make fun of him for it for a couple weeks, and then they'll move on. If tweets like this really "haunted" people for the rest of their lives, then Donald Trump wouldn't be our president... And this tweet is far more inconsequential and from a far more inconsequential person.

I'm sure James knows that, too. He will likely bounce in a heartbeat if the Rockets don't continue to give him what he's worth, and I wouldn't blame him. He's not doing charity work here... Loyalty to any employer is for chumps. You can be sure they're not loyal to you.

The fact that you brought up the regular season and completely ignored the playoffs means that you were trying to sweep something under the rug.

Nobody know how many wins we would have in the regular season if we had LeBron instead of Harden. He might or might not rest as much if he was in Houston instead of Cleveland. This is all speculation. But if you really want to speculate, you should first answer what would have been in the playoffs if we had LeBron instead of Harden.

BTW, you sounded like the Rockets were a bunch of trash players Harden dragged along. This is so typical of blind fans trying to throw the whole team under the bus just to prop up their own boy.

No, your point was that LeBron would have won fewer regular season games, that's why you wouldn't trade Harden for him straight up. I was challenging your notion that Harden was a better player than LeBron, not about the contract situation.
