https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/ Levi Cowan's site has great resources. I'm eagerly awaiting the next Euro run which will be running in about 90 mins or so. Irma's track is looking more and more dangerous as time goes on.

Eric Berger and the guys at Space city weather continue to strongly think that Irma will not be a threat to us. That should really be good enough for anyone in this thread. Let's not get worked up about it.
It gets within 50 miles of Miami turns NE then NW and makes landfall along GA,SC border. There is still a lot up in the air but those on the east coast need to start preparing now.
Yeah, don't get worked up about Irma. The track looks ominous but it'll bounce north off that arriving cold front.
Good Thread to keep you up on IRMA a lot of knowledgeable hurricane trackers in here http://www.city-data.com/forum/hurricanes/2815244-atlantic-irma-forms-august-30-2017-a.html
All the models are trending more westward. Not good for the U.S. Not good for the Gulf. For us, the cool front coming this week may be our salvation. Doesn't look like it will help Florida or East Coast, maybe not even Mississippi. This is not what we need, another major hit on the U.S. It is a very intense storm; not real large though.
Why are the controlled releases of the Addicks and Barker reservoirs flooding homes now and not during the actual storm?
Found this article, hope it explains for you. http://offcite.org/how-the-barker-and-addicks-dams-work/
Thanks. So I guess it's the upstream homes that are being affected. The outflow of the dams isn't fast enough for the inflow. Seems like the downstream flow of Buffalo Bayou needs to be improved so that these houses in the "gray vulnerable zone" are safe.
If it really slips in between Florida and the Caribbean, I doubt anyone would actually knows where it's going to go.
So I belong to some Facebook groups that are specific to my area (West Memorial & Rummel Creek Elementary), and someone posted a link to this tonight: http://www.raiznerlaw.com/inverse-condemnation-rights/
