That's tough when AntiFa conceal their identities behind masks and will also steal your recording devices to prevent any documentation of their illegal activities. With the way that city leaders have told their police forces to stand down, it does feel like AntiFa is able to operate above the law.

Don't get me wrong. White supremacists, KKK, and neo-Nazi's are morally repugnant and scum. But in modern times, they've operated within the confines of the law. Those that haven't have been made accountable for their actions.

 

No doubt they are wearing masks, but this is the first i've heard of them stealing video cams/ phones. Where did you read this -- is it happening widely or in isolated instances?

What they are doing is theft and assault of an innocent bystander that they randomly labeled a "nazi" because he was wearing a polo....imagine what they'd be doing to him if he was actually there in opposition to them. Perhaps they'd bash his head with a bike lock?



Perhaps they'd hit him over the head with a glass bottle and had multiple people kick him while he was down?



Violence leads to more violence, AntiFa's violence was always going to lead to more violence and Charlottsville was just an example of it. That's why you simply can't have violent extremists doing this kind of thing because it will ALWAYS escalate.

 

It's false imprisonment and theft of property. It might've gotten more physical if he kept resisting. The sad part is that he's not even a white supremacist. He was just a clean shaven white photographer. He's apparently some random conspiracy theorist.

 

It's depressing that some of the folks on this site are minimizing their actions and defending them. I actually thought that wouldn't be the case on Clutchfans.net

 

You give some of our friends on the left WAY too much credit. Given that many of them are outright socialists themselves, it's hard to expect them to speak out against a communist group even if they are violent extremists. Their ideology is just too close to that of the extremists for them to feel they can speak out against them.

 

I think the president saying that both sides had 'good people' minimizes the actions of white supremacists more as he is the president and these are random posters on a message board.

It minimises their actions so much that self labeled neo Nazis groups THANKED the president for his statements. Think about that for a second. Grasp that notion in your head.


Get your priorities straight.

 

I oppose the violence of AntiFa. They are guilty of it many times and have adopted that as one of their methods of operations. I'm not a supporter of AntiFa. I do agree with some of their stances on issues. I do agree with the idea of standing against neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups. I don't agree with how they do it. Anytime they or their members are violent they should face legal consequences.

Antifa is rightfully being monitored for violent behavior, but if you want to prove a specific point you're going to have to try harder than an opinion article and a tweet from 'TIP OF THE MAGA'.
