We suck. We didn't april through June but we have sucked for the last 2 months. Our pitching is in no way where it needs to be for the playoffs. Our situational hitting has turned to dog shite again. Texas a much better team than us right now and so is a lot of MLB. What a collapse. That's the only way you can put it right now. Hinch is a terrible manager and isn't helping the situation. This is not a good team.
I think the Astros just maxed out this year ! This could go down as one of the biggest downfalls in major league history! I want to believe they'll magically start hitting again and magically start pitching good again but they have done nothing to show that the last 2 months ! They've been one of the worst in baseball since then
So who's fault is it that the stros are broke as hell? Hinch? Lunhow? Players? Fans? It's somebody's fault Gat damn it !!!!! Lol
Anything short of reaching the WS is a failure, IMO I've already accepted not winning a single playoff round though. We have the talent, but the team has struggled longer than it balled... and, of course, it's Houston.
Cleveland and Boston are way better right now ! Hell the white Sox and A's are better ! They knew they had the chance this year to win it all and did nothing to make this team better. If someone isn't held accountable for that then that's a failure in my eyes. I'm starting to think more and more that Hinch has got to go. He does nothing to hold these guys accountable and he's just way too nice ! Managers have to have some fire for gawd sake !!!!!
Horribly is a bit of an exaggeration. Sure, they weren't on the same torrid pace in June/July, but August is first month they've really been terrible. But yeah, if we're playing like this in Sept then I doubt even the baseball elites will feel good about the team going into the playoffs. June - 16-11 July 15-9 August - 10-17 (with loss tonight)
Maybe, people's lives would be better if they didn't follow sports. I don't get the same reaction if I go to a movie that's bad (you can walk out and the awfulness doesn't linger) or a bad concert (very rare). Teams can leave you angry, frustrated, irritated, depressed, etc. Why put yourself through that? It'd be interesting to see what it would be like if you erased all the built-in sports fanaticism out of your body and started with a clean slate, meaning you don't really care how a particular team does. At all. There are people out there who really have zero interest in sports. Strange feeling.
