Who is your ideal manager that's currently managing?

Who knows what these guys are going through emotionally. They started a road trip right when their town was getting ripped through and haven't been home. I know these are excuses but it is what it is. They are human.

Yeah Madden, Bochy, etc. would be ideal type managers for this team. This team is just so dead and uninspiring right now like Hinch and hard to watch and appear to have some mental midgetry at times when the going gets tough.

I know an easy answer due to record is Dave Roberts, but what I like about him is his fire. I think that's the biggest problem folks who are not fans of his have. Of course we're assuming he's the same way in clubhouse as he is in dugout. But I think that's very likely the case.

What does a Hinch a$$ chewing sound like?

"Guys, I'm going to nicely ask again that you stop giving away outs on the base paths. If we don't I'll ask nicely again"

Be honest though, if the hurricane had never happened would tonight's and last night's games really strike you as anything unusual?

Bochy certainly looks the part... despite his team underachieving, payroll wise, since thieir WS year.... which happens.

MaddOn is about as laid back as they come... but he has success.

When Hinch was having success, he was universally praised.... but I understand the desire to criticize him when the team is underperforming. Tampa fans did that with Maddon too (all 7 of them).

lol yeah because Tom Savage is leading us to the promised land. Another season of reminders that we haven't had a good let alone great QB in our franchise history. Extremely difficult to do anything without an elite QB... maybe sometime in my lifetime... I'm still young.

Don Mattingly had fire... but was booted out because the players stopped responding to it.

Roberts has actually been far more laid back than Mattingly... which many are calling a plus.

Only one thing can save us now.

It starts with a V and ends with an "erlander".

No it's fairly similar to recent play. But this didn't help.

I trust him at home but on the road he's not the same pitcher.

I think having a balance is key. Clearly you can't always be fired up and expect that to work all the time. Conversely, you can't always look like you don't have a pulse. Even when Hinch is arguing with umps he looks like he's inviting them to his dinner party.
