Well I can only go by the reports I have read. I wasn't there. But that's kind of my point, without directly experiencing it or know someone who did first hand, not sure how I, or anyone can say what the church did or did not do. Someone mentioned they should have prepared for it and been ready... who WAS prepared for THIS kind of epic flooding and disaster? And why would a "mega church" care one bit about being shamed? You think just because some on the internet are saying negative things about them then he feels "Well, I guess we should bring in a sh** load of supplies, doctors, air mattresses, and tons of people now because my pee-pee is hurt"? Anyway, I'm not trying to defend the man or to start some internet argument. I've just seen many comments bashing him and can't understand why when no one really has the facts. I mean, when did NRG open it's doors for people? Yesterday also? I didn't see people bashing the Texans or claiming they were shamed into helping.

But bottom line is Lakewood, and many others, ARE helping people.... thousands and thousands of people that really need it. You can question motives all you want, but that's the most important aspect of it all.

How is Hwy 90 east from Sugar Land to NRG? Trying to make it there by 4pm to volunteer. Anyone know?

Is that b*stard even there, leading sermons and what not? Probably on his private jet going to an island somewhere, far, far away from this mess. Gotta love that non-taxed church money. Non-profits FTW
