While that may be true, a lot of people still won't have their vehicle.

    this article makes no sense

I can see Maccagnan panicking at the time when Houston traded up, but not after we picked Martin.

I think that panic he experienced reinforced that he liked him, was afraid he was going to lose him, and didn't think he'd be around when he next drafted. All that lead him to reach for Hack.

Texans better pick him up. They won't pay Brown, they didn't sign Bouye, and they didn't sign Romo. No excuse not to use the Brock Osweiler savings.

Unfortunately it is rumored the Steelers will sign Haden.

SMH, you keep saying this despite the fact that the Texans are already paying Brown....or rather they'd like to if he'd only show up to collect and be one of the highest paid O linemen in the game.

it makes sense for the players being able to go back home instead of playing a meaningless game. It sucks for fringe players though who were banking on this game to showcase that they deserve to be on the team.

I would imagine so too, he doesn't want to retire and he sure as hell doesn't want to miss a game check. He'll choose to be one of the highest paid O linemen in the game instead.

Is 33rd really "one of the highest paid"? He has a contract and he should be at work. But to say that he's one of the highest paid OL is a stretch at best.
