Seriously, aside from Jon, Sam and Greyworm, name me one man left on the show who is more honorable than Jaime? And Greyworm is just honorable in a devoted servant kinda way, like a Dire Wolf is to its master. And don't say Bran, since he's just a punk Emo kid now. Jaime is of the Highest Order of Knighthood and honorability. So honorable, he broke his one big rule to protect the King in order to save the city. And he didn't go whinging about his name being tarnished as King Slayer and being treated like slime, because he knew he did the honorable thing. Now he's standing up to the Mad Queen, his sister, too.
I'll apply the NBA stats, small sample size rule... Having done no wrong doesn't make you more honorable. Podrick is just a squire living under the honor of his knight. Not constantly tested like Jaime. ie...the number of honorable things Jaime has done (his TS%) vs Podrick's > Podrick's 100% FG% on a small sample of shots. Like has Gendry really done anything wrong, too? But he's like Wiltjer he wide-eyed amazement at the awesome t*** of the priestess....just hoping to fit in.
You're mistaking heroic with honorable. Thormund killed his leading elder at Hardhomme. And he pillaged, raped and murdered Northerners whenever he got a chance, in his previous ways. Jaime > Thormund wrt Man of Honor
rape? Jamie has committed rape (his sister on his kid's corpse). When did Thormund rape? Hes courting Brienne through appropriate moves which suggests otherwise.
Davos is awesome and a good choice for > Jaime, but he does change allegiances much like Varys does. imo, King Slayer > The Onion Knight Ser Davos is a reformed smuggler. Stannis cut off his fingers for his crimes, and another time sentenced him to die and Davos stuck by him but eventually was going to leave him for his next lord....much like Varys.
that ain't rape....they have sex all the time. I'm sure she really wanted it. This is pillaging and rape and murder ... this is what the Wildlings do to northerners. Are you saying Thurmond just watched in the dozens and dozens of raids they surely did like Mole's Town.
I have no proof he partook in rape. His behavior suggests he wouldn't. In that video he ignore the woman and only murders the man. Very honorable. Are you suggesting Jamie who had sex on his kids dead body is honorable?
You're not following along. I didn't say pushing Bran was honorable. I was responding "He doesn't seem to have any redemeeming qualities." I said name another man someone more honorable in sum than Jaime.
I get what your saying HP. I think we are splitting hairs as to who is more honorable. He has obviously grown more honorable as the show has progressed and there are not many characters that don't have skeletons in their closets.
They had sex on the floor. Yes, I 100% believe Tormund raped and pillaged worse than that, as the Wildlings do. Even if he just watched, compare that to Stannis publicly hanging his knights when he found out they raped wildling prisoners.
hmmm very hard to choose what's more honorable noble performing incest which is taboo, kings guard killing king h swore to protect OR barbarian pillaging and raping his conquests as all barbarians do
I think I just also started off thinking he was highly honorable as a Knight, just got an unfair bad smear on his resume (as is the GRRM way for all men in his story) for having to be King Slayer to the Mad King...hennce, why Bri is in love with him ... and she loves to judge people on honor. It was the Mad King. Preventing him from burning everyone was honorable beyond the honor toward a king. It was honor to the Gods. Don't be a Westeros commoner crying "King Slayer" as Jaime rides by fully accepting that Title, without Whinging, and Brienne falls in love for him for that. And that's Bri who loves to judge ppl on honor.
How honorable is becoming a traitor to your own kind and sucker-punching (then brutally killing) a trusted leader of the wildlings (Lord of Bones) at Hardhomme, just because he got in your way and insulted your manhood...and there was no time to waist talking on the shore ... need a sitdown. Seems the same as killing the Mad King for getting in the way of the right thing to do.
