75 pages later and I can report that our office is a 100% loss tonight. We're over off of TC Jester and 610 area. Shitty feeling knowing that your livelihood got devastated by this storm. Guess things will work out though and I'm safe where I'm at now.
True, but they also have been updating their evacuation map that pretty much coincides with that inundation map, so hopefully people are able to get out. BTW, the evacuation map was updated again about 20 mins ago. Please keep checking it if you're in the Fort Bend area. The evacuation area has been growing since yesterday. Check it every few minutes if you have to. If you can't get it from the website, go to their Twitter account and get it.
Your safe. That's all that matters. I felt like **** leaving my house too. Especially not knowing how much worse it would be. Stay strong bro.
Mattress Mac opening up his playhouse to all those kids must be the ultimate for those kids. Man I used to love running through that gallery.
Chin up, bro! You'll battle back. If you and yours are alive and healthy, you're just putting together an amazing story for your grandkids.
Harvey has officially broken the Color Barrier National Weather Service had to add two new colors to their color chart to map the rainfall http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...e-adds-new-colors-so-it-can-map-harveys-rains While the old scale used 13 colors from light green to dark purple to depict precipitation from 0.1 inch to greater than 15 inches, the new one resets that dark purple color to denote 15-20 inches of rain — and tacks on two more lighter shades of purple to denote 20-30 inches and "greater than 30 inches.
Weather is nuts here on the coast. But I just cruised around in my buddy's lifted jeep and the roads aren't too bad.
Ya that's how I'd describe it in Laporte. Ton of rain but not coming down hard and fast enough for the drainage ditches to keep up. Wasn't the case 2 nights ago tho
It has not stopped raining in fortbend all day. It's still nerve racking the water has not receded for me(not in the house) and I still hear boats.
Southbelt/Ellington, Pearland and Hobby is still raining. 24hrs of rain. **** this. **** Harvey. I ain't sleeping tonight.
I can't believe some of the images I'm seeing from 59N/Beltway 8. My parents own property over there. Hope everything is ok.
As bad that sounds its not as bad as Saturday night. We got our asses handed to us so bad that night. I'm just glad I live closer to the airport and not the beltway. I would have had to ask for a boat to save my ass
