Amen. No matter what, GOT lost a hell of an actor.

The Theon scene was the worst.
    - even without a ****, that would hurt
    - he was this close to being dead/completely knocked out, but a couple shots to the groin that don't hurt him turns it all around?
    - the men being all for leaving, then all for yara?

    he should have died.

Yeah, the flow of the fight is just totally off. Maybe watching MMA made us all more aware of how unrealistic such a choreographed "comeback" is. Hell, most pro-wrestling matches are better choreographed than this fight.

Also agree about these men, I wouldn't trust them if I were Theon.

That's part of it, but he's one of only a few people left to still have a Valarian Steele sword, and it is half of Ned Starks sword. So having him come back up north with it along with Brienne having the other half has some symbolism involved in the story.

Also in episode 2 of the series, Jon and Jamie have a moment where I can't really place my finger on what point it had in it where Jamie seems to mock Jon for giving up his life for the Nights Watch. I don't know if there was more in that than what appeared on the surface, but I'd have to think they wouldn't have spent that amount of time with them together if there wasn't going to be something with that relationship.

Then there is the fact that Jamie started the entire series off by pushing Bran out a window. If Jamie never again came back to Winterfell and faced the epitome of his old self in facing what he did to Bran, it would be a pretty wasted opportunity.

With all the dragons and wights and large scale battles, the best part of the show for me remains the various conversations that characters have, even brief ones not necessarily central to the plot: Brienne and Hound this episode, Tormund and Hound in the snow, etc. What keeps me enjoying the season, despite the complaints, are these conversations and the actors' performances.

I liked the Hound and his brother.
I'm not a book reader so have no idea what he was referring to when he said you know what's coming for you.
It was a great little scene.

It's not a stretch for me to think that Theon could have a crazy comeback like that, considering his insane pain endurance after being tortured by Ramsey. Normal punches like that are nothing compared to an entire season of excruciating **** torture. Theon gained crazy pain resistance as a super power, basically, which I don't mind. Also, it's not that crazy that Ironborn (Viking-esque) dudes would get McGregor boners seeing Theon fight to the death like Rocky Balboa.

It was all very Dio and I am okay with that.

@topfive's_gf came up with a very intriguing possibility for Cersei's eventual demise:

Arya uses Littlefinger's face to secure an audience with Cersei, who is #1 on Arya's list of people to be killed. One sword-swipe later and GOT's biggest villain is headless.

Wouldn't happen until the very last episode, of course. But Cersei is obviously not going to live.

This^. If he dies, the show better die with him. He cannot die till the last moment of Game of Thrones. If he loses, the show will never be looked at the same. Everyone will think... it was great but... that ending... ehhh

That's cool. Makes sense. Would provide us with little suspense, though, since we know LF is dead so impossible for writers to build much surprise other than the look in Cersie's eyes. I still prefer the King Slayer becoming a Queen Slayer.

I really thought that had a small possibility of happening last season with Jamie stopping Cersie from executing the Mad King's plot once again.

    Kind of a one-sided conversation, no? :)

I don't think that "what's coming for you" is a code for something secret in the book or whatever, just the Hound's threat to his brother that they are gonna fight it out. The Hound hates the Mountain ever since childhood when the Mountain caused the disfigurement of the Hound's face.

Is it possible Tyrion turns on the dream team at some point? He's always said that he's never been against his family, and now that he knows is sister is preggers, he may do anything to make sure she survives...and that House Lannister survives.

Jamie is about to be on the Dream Team as well.

The best thing for house Lannister would be for Cersei to be killed, and for Jamie to move on to another woman and produce more little Lannisters.

Well, the Valonquar theory states that Cersei will die at the hands of her younger brother. The way things have gone it seems that Jamie is the most likely candidate for this. So that leaves Arya in the cold on her Cersei hit. Unless.....

....Jamie dies fighting the WW or somehow else. Arya then takes HIS face and kills Cersei that way. Would be a shocking death, fulfill the Valonquar prophecy AND give Arya that hit she's been looking for.

    Any Fullmetal Alchemist fans here?

There ended up being two versions of the animated Fullmetal Alchemist TV show because the first show started when the serialized manga was still unfinished and the TV show outpaced the progress of the comics. So the TV writers wrote their own story, the plot of which ended up COMPLETELY different than the manga's. Later, when the manga was finished, a second "true to the books" show ("Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) was produced.

I wonder how substantially these final 3 seasons of GoT TV show is gonna be from the upcoming books (if GRRM ever finishes them). I am not talking about writing out certain Martell or Greyjoy family members or that certain undead mom or extra Aegon, but totally unrecognizable plot.

His name is JAIME, not JAMIE!!!! Damn it, get it right!

I bet you still rave about Patrick Beverly and Donatas Montiejunas, too!

What if Arya secretly kills the Mountain with the Hounds helping lure him out. Then Arya puts on his face and somehow gets herself to fit into his armor. Then Cersie faces Jamie again like last episode and orders "The Mtn" to kill him. But Alas, it's Arya ,,, who pulls her helmet off and the face to look into Cersie's eyes before taking off her head.

Do you think it's OK that Arya isn't quite as big as the mountain.

Not huge because it's a reveal, but that was balls move to call her out on her threat especially with the mountain behind you reaching for his sword. Made me thought he was going to be the finales big sacrifice.

Of course Sansa knew and not ok with it. My mentioning of this was reason against the idea that LF took big gambles on the sisters ploy because he was blinded and dumbed due to his love for Sansa. You don't send your love girl to ramsay
