Take that fat boi stick ball out of here. We have people suffering from major flooding. Nobody cares about stickball when there are bigger consequences here in the city of Houston

Drainage in my neighborhood finally hit max capacity and water has topped the curb into my yard. Now it's the slow dread of watching it creep up my front yard.

Sugar Land area by First Colony Blvd and highway 6.

Pipeline leak. Stay indoors. Shut windows and turn off AC.

THat should be good for the looters though, right? Getting people out of their houses so they can be looted?

I was skeptical of the cajun navy being up to the same strategy when I first saw them filing in with their john boats, but have to admit a lot of that suspicion was based on their name. Never thought I'd say this, but thank god for the cajun navy.

Rain starting to come back for those on the south side. Not that there was much of a break, anyway.

I saw a caravan of trucks with boats going south on 45 North in driving rain. Then I kept seeing trucks with small boats that doesn't require trailers. It is a steady stream of volunteers going south. I've never seen anything like it, such a breathtaking sight. If I can swim, have a big truck and a boat.

    Experts calling The 1000-Year Flood

The blowup from Cat one to Cat 4 overnight was the first sign.

So it's going to be nonstop light rain for the next few days with some hard rain here and there i take it?

That means things should only get better and start clearing up from today.

Strangest tropical storm we will probably ever experience, nothing like this in history.

Though I cant think of it, there could be a very understandable reason why they didn't do that. Lots of logistics go into planning baseball games and travel and what not.

I know it's not the most important thing right now, relative to people possibly losing their homes, but just wondering, would the Granduca hotel also be affected/flooded right now?
