This is awesome! Thank you Les! Not surprising that it comes from a NBA guy.

JJ Fatt and his 100k pales in comparison. If you want to contribute, make a decent contribution, don't just contribute for publicity.

Thankfully Houston has the Rockets to save this city.

Crazy that it will be like quarters in a tip jar once the damages are totaled.

Well then your JJ Fatt contribution will be less than pennies. Stop the hate for Les and the Rockets.

Grow up. Nevermind, you're probably a delusional eggball Texan trying to hate on Rockets and Les Alexander.

What is gonna happen for those of us that have tickets?

I'm guessing "screw you for living in Houston" no refund, no nothing...?

I don't get the hostility. I think it's a great donation, I was just mentioning how high the damages will be in comparison to the donation. Honestly every bit counts, just because the Rockets owner donated 4 million doesn't mean it's bad of others to donate less.

You made a significant contribution of $4 million sound like he was being cheap. Stop trying to play your way around your stupid comment.

Wake me up when your JJ Fatt contributes $1million, let alone 4

If you look at your original post a certain way, it makes it seem pretty bitter. I took it as a more surrealist "wow this disaster scale is pretty bad" meaning, but I can see how FTW took it that way.

Was thinking of flying back to Houston for Labor Day weekend. I live in friendswood...would I be able to make it there from Hobby etc?

Really wanna go back and check up with everyone.

Hobby and Bush are closed until Thursday, and they only open if conditions are OK at the time of the check. I'm not sure if the airports will be open in time.

The target of the donations are significant to me. Les is putting money directly into Houston and specifically Houston. Donations to the Red Cross is a general fund that will likely end up elsewhere.

My mistake. Quoted the wrong post. I was actually asking about the Texans game. Luckily I have family in Florida that will gladly take my 'Stros tickets.

If you're on the west side, rain should slow at 7 and stop at 3 am
