They're now saying if you're evacuating from Sienna you need to go to 359 or else expect to find a shelter somewhere along 59 because you're not going to make it past I10 at 1463

They just announced mandatory evac for Pecan Grove in Fortbend. Grand mission is flooded with water in houses and I'm between those two places and water still hasn't receded.

It's like watching a very long and slow horror movie.

My house and neighborhood near Montgomery are fine, but all roads out (105, 2854, and the road south towards 1488... basically, any route towards 45) are now impassable. But much rather be stuck at home than those already impacted (or soon to be impacted) by flooding.

I'm hearing homes in Cypress are flooding now. Heard that Towne Lake is flooded? Does anyone know about Copperfield? I think @moestavern19 is around there (so is my house)?

Mandatory evacuation called for the neighborhood I'm in in Beaumont. Apparently there's a bayou at its banks. I just drove around and didn't hit any high water. I don't really want to leave but my in-law's are freaking out.

So harvey is a huge, slow moving tropical storm which is the recipe for major flooding.

How do you know which roads are flooded?

I remember those roads flooded quickly during the floods in the first quarter of last year when i worked in conroe. They were scary to drive if you had a small car and i am surprised i made it out of some areas.

If you can see a flood map, then do that. But honestly, you should leave. Don't take chances. Praying for you and the family.

It's really good, all of the roads from Rankin to airtex look good, but i doubt anyone is open. its dangerous to drive in these conditions from anywhere further out.

No. The north and west sides of the reservoir are what they are saying might flood with the incoming water from upstream.

It would be a real shame if some gun nut with nothing better to do as he can't drive to work decided to go out looter hunting inside the loop tonight.

I'm not going to judge people going into krogers, could need food for kids, diapers, formula for babies never know people situations.

It's not like krogers is bestbuy or frys

Channel 2 still has the NWS track having it come back on shore near the LA border, which would move the worst of the rainfall closer to Beaumont and Orange instead of Houston.
