Woke up this morning and the flood waters have receded (finally slept like a rock). I have a buddy with a flat bottom boat and a suburban lifted on 49 inch tires. Going to try and meet up with him somewhere and go to work, maybe pearland or friends wood? I heard things are awful over there

I hope they are using the same
I doubt it bro. There is that underpass near Allendale that probably is covered in water.

Like I've posted before, I'm SW of town in Sugar Land not incredibly far north from Hwy 6 and 90. It's insane seeing those maps posted and seeing all the mandatory evacuations not all that far from me. I've been INCREDIBLY lucky, especially compared to what most have dealt with. I've only lost cable/internet and the ditch right behind my house hasn't overflowed enough to threaten my house (got right up to my fence).

My heart truly goes out to and I'm praying for everyone.

It goes for me too, if anyone needs help I'll do what I can.

    God bless!

Friendswood is bad, but lots of boats over there. If you can get to Dickinson, that's where the big issues are from what I'm seeing and hearing.

Amazing how so many schools and courts only cancel one day at a time in circumstances like this. I see on the crawler there are as many schools closed only monday as there are ones closed the entire week.

It's almost like the real emergency would be if all the water suddenly disappeared somehow, & institutions missed out on a day that could have been scheduled.

I am also in SL and not so lucky, I am in the listed Maditory Evac map. I'm in Magnolia Plantation and Oyster Creek bks right up into my street. Not sure if I am going to stay or not.

Up to 97 feet. They began the releases early (my guess is because of that 3 hour stretch between 6-9 last evening).
