I like your plan, but be careful yourself there is a high chance Spring Creek overflows. When it does 45 North/Hardy Toll Road or Kuykendahl are impassable just like the Memorial Day flood. And you will a very hard way going back home because it separates Montgomery County from Harris County. I've lived in the woods since Charlie Thomas owned the team, they only thing I worry about is hurricane wind.

There are absolutely no 18 wheelers going south on 45 right now which means we should not be driving to Houston. And there maybe 1 car every 10 minutes going south also usually by this time, I see consistent headlights going south. There will be a lot of business closed today. If you don't need to drive, don't drive.

as of 6:35am right now. DO NOT DRIVE to Houston from Montgomery County. Hardy Toll Road south is closed at FM1960 and I-45 North going south to Cypresswood is closed.

Looks like Harvey is trying to form more rain bands over Houston despite that massive influx of dry air it has ingested. The good news is that the rain forming looks much much weaker, at least for now.

Edit: Unfortunately, computer models are indicating that another round is setting up for Houston. I hope these models are wrong and we make it through today mostly dry.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm living in NYC right now, but still own my home in the Heights, and all my friends and family are in the area. Tough watching the news, wishing I could be there to help.

Rain kept me up most of the night and the water stayed around a few feet away from my home. Luckily it didn't get into my house but water has not much receded much.

Seriously, why do they even bother with that, if it's that meaningless?

I really hope all our Clutch BBS regulars are safe. Things like this put some of the arguments we sometimes have on here into perspective.

If you're in Sterling Ridge, I'm not far from you (Cochran's Crossing, Lake Woodlands Dr @ Kuykendahl) and would be willing to join you.

I gotta admit that it feels unsettling to read all of your updates. Especially knowing I can't do anything immidiately to help. Best of luck to
You can also try the Red Cross.

They said on the news that FEMA is starting the assistance process and to start signing up. If you were not affected than you may not need to. If your house is going to inhabitable for weeks contacting FEMA maybe an important next step.
