For those of you that have interest in the Fort Bend area, I'd check the Fort Bend Office of Emergency Management Twitter page (@fbcoem)-- they have a list of roads and their conditions/closures on there as well as the mandatory and suggested evacuation areas mentioned above.
This coast guard, commander spitler, I don't think i've ever seen a worse military haircut. While they were just standing there being set up by the 13news anchor, I was thinking holy crap that guy is insane. Then he started talking, and it almost made me want his haircut. I don't think there's a clear delineation anymore, voluntary/mandatory. They're just telling you what's going to happen, expect it to be worse, and you decide. I read a half dozen conflicting advisements for my area, but here it's likely to be 2ndary flooding, is harder to predict.
Very sad to see all the images and clips from the hurricane. I live in Bonham TX but I was born and raised in Houston. It will always be home I have everyone in Houston in my thoughts and prayers. Everybody stay safe.
I would imagine some grocery stores might be open tomorrow in that area. Yeah you can survive but definitely can't be picky with that. You could always make a BBQ baked potato with that to get something different!
I took this near San Felipe just INSIDE the loop today. It looks worse now after latest rain. If you can help people out - help them. Crazy out there.
Thank God my neighborhood is All fine here 77066. Food town is open and Shipleys is open. Even if i wanted to evacuate I couldn't.
I need to be in Dallas within the next two days. Coming from the Galleria, does anyone know a clear route?
Lol, you are really gonna hold out on movie recommenations in the hangout because of some trivial d&d posts. I dont hate you outside of the d&d.
