@FTW Rockets FTW hey I think you might want to consider donating to JJ Watt's charity for the Houston floods? ^
1. Who do you tell to evacuate if you don't know where it is going to rain? You might be sending them to where it rains the most. 2. The storm went from depression to Cat 4 in 48 hrs(?). When people evac'd for Ike they were stuck on freeways for 16-24 hrs.
I will NOT contribute a single cent to this fake ass mofo's fund. He is a phoney. He comes out after a lot of damage has already been done and makes some kind of statement. Absolute BS. He just did it for the attention and to fool more of the delusional, uneducated, low IQ eggball texans (see bobbythefail) He doesn't have Houston in his heart like Dream or Yao or even Harden. He can F off to his shitty Wisconsin for all i care.
He threw in 100K of his own. I'm sure he could have bought many Papa John's pizza for that to get even fatter https://www.youcaring.com/victimsofhurricaneharvey-915053
No kidding. Luckily it's still not flooding where I am. And some businesses are actually open in the area. The Mickey D's across the street has a long line at the drive-thru.
It needs to be understood that those in flood areas need to get out, regardless. There was no need to evacuate people who were safe from flooding. People most vulnerable to these storms need to get out days before, not at the last minute.
Doubtful, people love to chose a side. "First Take: Embrace Debate!" Looks like we will have to tell them ourselves!
http://www.chron.com/news/houston-t...-forces-release-from-Addicks-and-12035928.php Where is that? Will this release impact Missouri City?
It was the right move. Imagine how many cars with people in them would be under water right now. That's much more dangerous than being stuck in a house or on a roof.
Anyone know how it's going in Clear Lake as far as flooding? I remember Hurricane Alicia and the street flooding. It came up from the street a little over halfway into the front yard in Oakbrook subdivision but it never made it to the front door or into the house. I remember canoes were out.
My friends in Dickinson are under water. West side of league city is under. NASA Bay Area is under water. Kemah under, part of seabrook under .
Maybe for the more low lying areas. The problem is we could havr had another Rita, with people from Katy also leaving. We wouldnt want clogged freeways right now at all. Think the people who lived in those areas and know how it floods got out. City could have worked with metro on bussing in more lower income residents to shelters. All happened really fast.
