Cleanest it's been since it opened. Don't drink the water.

People are launching their boats on I45 down on the south side near league city and dickinson area to go rescue people. I am happy to see people helping people but I45 is a freaking boat ramp right now. Unbelievable!

If it floods that bad they should make that area a catch basin park instead of rebuilding homes. That goes for all flood prone communities. Enough is enough.

Construct catch basin parks in flood prone areas. That goes for all new construction too. For every sqft of concrete put down there should be park land equivalent.

They are doing a draining project there currently. Flooding is worse since they started it. Hope it does his job when it's done.

We're not too far from there, ours sits 3 feet above flood level. We're in Katy with family now but neighbor says all new houses are fine, old ones have all taken water. Not sure how insurance companies will continue to insure these older homes.

If it was somewhere else, they probably would, but property values are way too high in that area

Once upon a time there was some kind of rule where if the house floods, I think it was 3 times within 10 years, insurance companies would refuse to insure the property causing the state to buy you out and they would demolish the home. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but the house I sold is next to an empty lot for just that reason.

24" over the whole city. May be feasible from an engineering standpoint but people wouldn't be willing to fund the massive cost.
