Flash flood emergencies, Texans shut out in the "most important preseason game" and Astros blow a 5 run lead. Spectacular.

Damn. Started watching the fight with the Astros with a nice lead. Came back after the fight to see the Stros had a melt down. That sucks. Oh well, at least I'm not out on the roads tonight.

I tuned away from the game for the fight...came back to see we lost. Fantastic. Great showing by the newly acquired bullpen help....

JD Davis has no business being called up much less starting for a team with WS aspirations. Can they not bring up Tony Kemp instead of this scrub? Luhnow must think he'll break out. Of course he never makes mistakes ;)

Damn, first Harvey, then the Texans shutout and now the Stros blowing a 5 run lead.

I usually don't like to complain about the moves after the fact but I just don't understand why we are using Clippard in high leverage situations... it seems like whenever Giles isn't available to close (he played the past two games), Hinch goes to Clippard. What the heck did Clippard do to earn that trust? His 4.95 ERA with NYY before joining Astros? I know both Dragon and Musgrove played yesterday, but I would've loved to see either one of them instead of Clippard in this situation......this loss stings..

The pen is a joke. It's making it hard for the team to gain traction.

Coming into today, the pen had a sub-2 ERA in August, which was the best in baseball. The bullpen wasn't making it hard "for the team to get traction." The team is just struggling to put all the phases of the game together at the same time right now.

I dislike Crane and I dislike Luhnow but the Tigers have to want to trade Verlander and Verlander has to want to come to the Astros. If that doesn't happen you cannot blame the Astros without knowing what if anything the Astros offered.

And I think everyone knows where Crane's priorities are.

That was a flashback to 2013 that I really didn't want to see.

J.D. Davis made it... but it's been painfully obvious that he's not ready for this level of baseball.

Crane and Luhnow, they have clearly done nothing but make this franchise worse. There is actually a team that has won more games than us this season, that is simply unacceptable.

This is one of the more ridiculous posts and that's saying something given the overall vibe here lately.

If anyone wants a laugh or remind himself it could be worse--the Ban Cangrebingo movement has begun over at TCB.

Yes inherited runners don't count against the bullpens ERA. To say the pen isn't a major problem on this team is just arguing to argue.

Yeah, the bullpen should have an ERA of 0.00. Otherwise, it's all Hinch's fault. Or just run Giles out there all the time.
