Harvey is rain is bad at least it was on a Sunday where most people aren't working, importantly our powers are still on. I know for sure I'd be the stupid one going to work on a working day. I could see the freeway from my house, I could see very, very few cars. Most of us have power which allows us to know what is going on. If we had power off it would of been more devastating. Take care every1.
I think it's chickenshit for city leaders to have downplayed the magnitude of this storm and continue to tell people to shelter in place. Lot of people are going to be trapped in their homes for a good few days or so seems like.
I'm wondering about this. With that type of forecast days ago, should we have been under a voluntary evacuation order?
Heavy rain on the north side right now, looks like it will flood here soon. This storm knows how to ****.
Second post here looks like a spinoff of the fake news post going around Thursday. Fwiw ETA: Don't drive if you don't have to. There is a feed on ABC of a Sheriff having to rescue people continuously who keep driving into deep water. Caution>>Coffin!!
Hey people, hope you're all safe. For anyone in Clear Lake, I'm trying to get an idea what my area is like. I live in Oakbrook West, right behind the Shipley's at El Dorado and Space Center. Also wondering what Kemah is like if anyone knows. Out here in Beaumont we are getting pounded pretty good. No flooding outside the house that I can see, but wouldn't want to get on the roads.
Friendswood is bad. My good friend lives there and just sent me a voicemail he got from the city a few minutes ago. It said "Black Hawk helicopters are in the area and that you should stand on your roof and await rescue. You will be taken to Ellington Field for temporary shelter."
My step aunt and uncle are on a 5 hour waiting list to get pick up by boat from their house in pearland
The radar seems to show some hope but then you got people who say its only going to get worse. Who the hell should I believe?
Just depends where in Pearland, got a pic from a buddy that lives in Shadow Creek Ranch and the water is barely up to the curb.
Just talked to my dad in Katy. Said the street was started to flood just a littlw but they are getting a break now and it is receding just a bit. Said he's still going for his Sunday walk lol Breaking news: KHOU studios being evacuated!
How is i10 and antoine like? (Near ikea). I'm in san antonio right now considering heading back. If i wait longer it might get worse in houston? What if i go home today and stay in the comforts of my home?
