[2017] Hurricane Season

Man this is wild. I hope all of you remain safe and dry. I'm just now starting to get a heavy downpour right around the Cypress and Tomball border. Just isolated drizzles to this point.

 

I'm watching the water, friends on Netflix, my poor dog is so terrified he pissed my bed. I've got family all across Houston slowly dropping like flies to their houses being flooded (pearland, west Houston so far) and I can't get there to help them, with no end in sight. Positive note I think my house is good.

 

My aunt and uncle are out there and are no longer in the closet.

 

I am going to try sleep. I could follow this all night waiting for this rain to die but no point...

 

I'm ****ing exhausted. Every time I think it's okay to go lay down another band comes crashing through. Frustrating as hell.

ABC13 twitter says the next band will hit Missouri City about 4:30 at its current speed. Two and a half hours to drain as much as possible. I'm praying, literally praying, that the sewer system doesn't get backed up and manages to drain at least most of the water.

 

Yeah, we may need to re-evaluate the evacuate to Katy thing after this mess.

 

Not so fast rocks_fan. I wish we had a two hour break, but it doesn't look like it.

Very small flood over, for now.

 

At this point I'll take an hour. Anything more than that is a bonus.

 

That's the area they just widened. Just crazy amounts of rain though.

 

Five tornado warnings have just now been issued

 

Tornado and flood warning. I'm not sleeping.

 

Wish I had a PS4 to pass the time with a game. Should have bought one on Prime day. Damn.

 

Things have been quiet for me for more than a hour here in Richmond. Hopefully that last longer.

 

I'm wondering if/ when water gets into the house, what should I do? Run outside and shut off the breakers? Hop on my bed and pray?
