Harvey took about 14 hours over land to not be a hurricane anymore - and it's still a TS over 24 hours later.... Crazy.
Back over the curb and a couple of feet up into my front yard. Still raining. I hate Harvey, and he apparently hates me.
I'm watching channel 11, but I imagine they're all pretty comprehensive. They seem to think that if it kicks back west it will finally allow the storm bands to release and start to dissipate. Their future track thing seems to think that if we make it to 8 AM it will start to lighten up some.

It is not clear to me whether the homes flooded by Harvey in the greater Houston area will tally in the thousands, tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, but it will be many. This community will have to come together after another devastating flood that seems likely to approach the same magnitude as that of our previous reference event, Tropical Storm Allison. That is two historic floods in less than two decades. Hopefully, we will learn from this. Certainly, we will rebuild.
Things are fluid (literally). It's being discussed. This is like the deadline day NBA thread. Instead of hoping for some Rockets trade news, we are hoping for rain to stop.
