He tried to play Floyd Mayweather's game like floyd did against Pacquiao, and he kept tapping and Mayweather and Mayweather seemed like he knew his game plan so he just let him get a few early rounds and started attacking him once connor got tired. He took those taps no sweat. Manny Pacquiao packs of fierce punch that Floyd Mayweather wants no part of, so he played his game against manny, but he changed it up against mcgregor. Wear em out early and start striking once he is tired and suddenly its a real fight connor cant handle.
McGregor did a great job for his first pro fight ever...And what a terrible start by a HOF boxer... Think Connor lost his arms by the 7th...He had them up way too much early on...nice strategy to keep probing etc. But in the end a boxer natural instincts took over as Money kept peppering Connors face. Kudos to him though..Real heart.
Much respect to McGregor, but his only real chance was an early round KO. As it moved on, his chances plummeted.
It means he made floyd actually throw punches and try to knock him out rather than dance for 12 rounds and add up the points mayweather style.
Now we can all go back to pretending boxing doesn't exist I don't care if money Mayweather comes out of retirement, he said that to get paid for his next fight.
He just went 10 rounds with a HOF boxer as an amateur and was paid 100 mil to do it....why wouldn't he be happy? One of the easiest and certainly the largest paydays of his life.
Meh, boxing is a joke. Anyone who thought conor had a chance against the warriors is a joke. Mayweather said it was his strat to throw a few early rounds, wear em out and knock him down. Maybe he respected him too much.
Why shouldn't he be happy? He represented well, takes home $30 million and walks away clear headed. Grand Slam home run for him.
Mayweather was clearly feeling McGregor out early on. The problem was, McGregor had practically nothing behind his punches. Yeah, his hands were quick and he did a decent job of making Mayweather miss early, but he never once made Floyd pay. All of the ridiculous yelling by the announcers meant nothing because even his best punches did nothing to Mayweather. He still looked better than I thought, though.
