I guess if you are in Missouri City then you shouldn't leave to go anywhere now, even to a better hunker down spot?
Dont think Sugarland has had flooding, but we really had some crazy weather. Also was told a Tornado touchdowned at 90 and texas pkwy
Water is up to my porch in the front and back, and up to the top of the door sills on my cars. Fortunately, the rain has subsided, but it went from clear streets to near disaster in under 45 minutes. If it rains again, I'm sunk (literally).
Water has drained off my back patio and I'm getting some draining into the front yard/street, but it's slow. About half my back yard still looks like a swamp. Water is up just past the curbs in the street, and goes about a foot and a half up my driveway, so it doesn't look like I'm going anywhere. I wonder how it would feel sleeping in my attic?
As of now.. I'm not saying it will be as bad as this one, but the one we just experienced looked just like that one 4-5 hours ago. Diurnal rains can be a headache. People who experienced Allison know what it's like. Same with the tax day floods and Memorial Day floods 2 years ago.
Next band will hit around Fort Bend before midnight. Two hours from dark-green to red can easily happen though.
I'm in the same boat out near Katy. That last band of rain put the creek nearest my house out of its banks. If it rains like that again we'll be literally sunk. That water came up fast once the creek flooded out.
