Yeah the band is currently slowly rotating right over my house. The streets aren't too bad, but the back yard is starting to concern me. These neighborhoods don't have the greatest drainage, and half my back yard already looks like a swamp.
Incoming!!!!! Getting shelled by lightning. I Turned off all the electricity. Listening to the stros in a battery radio. Should I not post by Tomorrow someone send a dragon for me!!
By Reliant now and the big/slow westward band should be hitting for about 1 1/2.. with tornado threat.
Good news is that the NWS allowed the tornado warning to expire at 9pm with no new one to replace it. It seems radar isn't indicating tornadic cells like it was a few minutes ago.
i'm about 5 miles down 90 (S. Main) from Reliant and it's finally stopped raining for the moment. It's getting very worrisome. Water levels getting a bit high for my comfort.
One band is about ready to pass by with another one on it's heels about an hour away. Just got around 5 inches of rain in a little over one hour's time at Briar Forest and Gessner
I'm getting some street flooding in Sugarland, it needs to chill out for about an hour or so and let some of this start to drain
I'd suggest anyone in the path of that band that's passing thru Houston right now be very careful. It just got through dropping multiple tornadoes apparently in Mo City (see link above)
Meant eastward (from the Western),... right now is hardest I've ever seen it rain. Seen it as hard before many times, but never harder. Should last about an hour. Check that... already looks halfway through. Looks it sped up since Fort Bend. Maybe 20 more minutes.
Im in Sugar Land / Southwest Houston and it was REALLY hairy for a good hour and a half with lots of alerts and tornado warnings. Seemed like we would never get out of that band of storms. Looks like we're in the clear now leaving behind a crazy lightning storm. God bless everyone that thing is headed towards in Houston and north of Houston. But my son lives with his mom in Mo City and that tornado hit less than a mile from her house. They were close enough to hear it and take shelter.
Man earlier this evening the wind was howling, then get a text that on the news there was a tornado spotted by the highschool near me. Seemed like a ton of tornadoes today in the west side of houston.

My Uncle is in Missouri City, one tornado earlier today (three blocks from his house - Sienna Plantation) possibly another - Seems to be one of the worst spots.
