If that trade gets cancelled does Kyrie play for Cavs?

This isn't really fair but giving up a future 2nd rounder shouldn't be a problem.

When Rockets traded for Jonny Flynn and later found that his hip injury was worse than Minny claimed it to be, the teams renegotiated the deal and the Rockets got a 2nd round pick (or rather got back a 2nd round pick they were gonna send to Minny)-- the pick turned into Chandler Parsons, I think.

Isaiah Thomas being a much more important player than Flynn, I'd think CLE would be asking for something more substantial if his injury is indeed much worse.

Besides, I think Boston is much more up the ****'s creek than Cleveland is if this deal blows up. Cleveland can probably move on to another Kyrie deal that they've been negotiating, maybe not one just as good, but it's there. Boston has more of a mess of having to either trade IT as damaged gods or welcome him back in a rather awkward reunion.

    LOL
If this get rescinded Boston is screwed. And no 2nd rounder is going to fix it. Supposedly IT is also very hurt and we all know about Crowder's character. Ainge can't keep them in the lockeroom like that if this fails.

This would crack me up if the trade fails and Irving has to go back to Cleveland.

And how do those Boston fans feel after burning IT's jersey??? I mean...what did IT do to have his jersey burnt in Boston???

    It's because he's black? Isn't it?

Yea, Boston is screwed. Irving can still be traded to another team.

IT ain't going back to Boston after the jersey burning and all the racist crap they said about him and he didn't even ask to be traded!!! RACIST BOSTON!!

I don't get it. If they were worried about his hip, why didn't they put that into consideration during the negotiation BEFORE the deal was announced? I would think that nullifying a deal should be something that's totally unexpected. If you came in to negotiate with the knowledge that the guy has health risk, and you still made the deal, then you should be held responsible for the deal.

IT should hire BJ Armstrong and claim his rights.

the consideration is the deal is void if IT fails the physical

and not sure what BJ Armstrong has to do with this

The deal being leaked and announced doesn't mean that it's finalised.
Judging from the return the Cavs got, IT's health was taken into consideration in the trade talks. However it's very possible things were even worse than the Celtics let them know. There's injury risks and injury risks. If he has to get surgery and there's high chance he wont' be able to play again this season, then that's valid reason to nullify the trade.

I wonder if it make sense for the Cavs to play hard ball here though, i don't think they'll get a better package than Nets 1st, Crowder and Zizic...especially considering what they were looking for if we believe reports which were always saying that they were after young players and picks mostly (another sign they don't expect Lebron to stay).
