According to Channel 13, most computer models now show the storm going west instead of curving north through Houston.

In all honesty? Pick a number between 1 and 1000. It could be real bad for us starting tomorrow morning or it could be typical rain Houston can easily manage. There are so many unknowns right now.

There are no steering currents so the storm will hang out until there is something in the upper atmosphere that can move it.

When will that happen? It's anyone's guess..

Which way will it go? It's anyone's guess..

My personal opinion only.. but I think this storm wrapped itself up so well it will be devestating down in rockport, Fulton and surrounding areas.

The fact that it is so intense and well wrapped together it will reduce the insane rain totals further eastward.

It will rain here and it will be windy and there will be short lived tornadoes, but the 30"+ rain totals predicted seem to be far fetched now. At least that's my opinion on it.

Channel 2 just lowered our rain to around 16 inches, and even said we could see pockets of sun at times. I really don't think anyone even knows.

You're right about Rockport. I fear its going to be bad. Reports of people trapped in collapsed buildings.

When they started coming with graphs that had a 270 degree turn I was immediately skeptical.

It just doesn't make sense, that's not a natural pattern

Frank's forecast. I'm a channel 2 guy though, they ball with the hotness.

Of course it doesn't make sense. That's why it is unprecedented. There's a high pressure over New Mexico and a high pressure over the eastern Gulf states. That keeps the hurricane, which is right in the middle, from moving out of Texas. That's why it's moving so strangely, or not moving at all.

I have 5 15 packs of Wolf Pups, lots of Fiji water, a QP, jerky, way too much peanut butter and a butt load of queso dip from El Ray. Im stocked now for 2018.

I'm pretty sure at this point no one really knows which direction this hurricane is headed.

I saw this too. He is the guy I trust the most.

Based on that and other recent projections, I'm very confident my neighborhood won't flood. We have plenty of water and food. Only real concern is the power going out.

Relatively small area in NE Houston had that much rain. Central Houston was in the 15-20 inch range and far west Houston/Katy said what flood?
