    How bad is this really gonna get? I live in Miami but I have a home in the galleria area and it tends to flood quite a bit.

    who knows. theres times where they predict its going to be bad and your normal rain happens instead. then theres times where they project rain and flooding becomes a huge problem. but the projections right now aren't exactly good

    So my mom has an antique booth in Galveston and it's her turn to work this weekend. I'm trying to tell her hey, you know, hurricane, state of emergency, etc. and she's just like "nah, i'll be fine".

    Landfall is likely early Saturday morning to our south. The worst weather in Houston would be 12-24 hours later and extending until early next week.
