Knicks, Rockets working on Carmelo Anthony trade scenarios

we need to work a deal with the Cavs for Crowder, and move on from Melo.

 

Woj said that talks between the Knicks and Rockets have been fairly dormant...the Rockets have been trying to find 3rd and 4th teams but haven't been able to do so

 

Its like knicks are purposefully trying to make the deal impossible

We had a deal at the two yard line but knicks pulled out and waited for non guaranteeds to expire and 3rd teams to lose trust.

They arent serious about a deal.

 

Melo is going to have to act out a lil bit for this to get done. He can't give the impression that he's ok with staying and expect the Knicks to budge. C'mon Melo it's temper tantrum time because I want our superteam to have time to gel in training camp.

 

I would've taken the rumored deal of Harkless, a 1st, plus the non-guarantees with Myers Leonard being sent to a 4th team if I were the Knicks, but the Knicks went and paused the talks and Portland has backed out

I'll wait until the end of training camp, if Melo still hasn't been traded by then then I'll officially move on...I can deal with Ryno still being here (he had better make his shots at home tho)

 

Kyrie had made it known that he wouldn't report to training camp if he was still with the Cavs...something like that might make the Knicks just want to finally end this thing, but I just don't know if Melo would go there...Melo's too mellow

 

I mentioned this a few weeks back but will say it again..If we don't get Carmelo, we are going to regret this, as I don't think EG will be as healthy as he was last year..I love EG, but just have a bad feeling about his health, that's all..we lucked out last year, tbh...Also, to have any chance at beating Warriors, we have to get Melo, period..So close, yet so far!!! Regardless of what people say, we NEED Melo!!

 

He's been freaking busting his ass this summer, the man is so freaking motivated right now...Darn it, I want him on this team, he fits so perfect!!

 

Melo is playing this quietly, outside the media. Plenty of reports has indicated he/his reps have been in frequent contact w/Knixie FO.

Who had heard that Kyrie to C's had any legs? Or the reported Bucks' offer? NOT EVERYTHING plays out in 70 point type (archaic newspaper reference; NOT EVERYTHING plays out on social media/woj's bomb account).

There's nothing to imply Gordon has trade value either. His competition for 6MOY was traded for a super low 1st round pick while making half his money and a lot less injury history.

 

I fear that if he shows up for camp this thing will drag on till the trade deadline.

unless Morey's about to up his offer or some 3rd team is all of the sudden going to want Ryno enough to give up something of value that can be sent to the Knicks, then this thing seems to be at a stalemate for now

hopefully Melo is applying a ton of pressure behind the scenes

 

Harden would have him drinkin body armor and good to go for the playoffs

 

Normally I would say you are correct and it does deserve it's own thread, but this is a unique circumstance. Better to keep the discussion here in the quest for 500. When the Knicks see how dedicated we are to the cause, they will have no choice but to relinquish Melo to us. Houston is still the preferred destination.
