Aim higher. I heard the longest thread is 2000 pages, Melo thread should aim for 10000 pages.

Can we really blame Mills for this? I mean if Morey had to trade an aging superstar would we as a fanbase be okay with just getting back Anderson? Look at it from both perspectives.

The Knicks were never really in the running because the club had no interest in parting with Kristaps Porzingis, who is entering his third season. Without Porzingis, a deal with the Knicks didn't appeal to Cleveland, who never seriously considered trading for Carmelo Anthony. Plus, Anthony remains committed to being traded to the Houston Rockets.

Seriously? Same 5 guys in here completely blinded by their homerism. Answer the question. Would you trade Anthony for Ryan Anderson?

So you wouldn't. Good job, you aren't a terrible GM. So this thread is basically a bunch of us mad that the Knicks aren't making a terrible trade. Sorry, it just sounds ridiculous.

What part of the Knicks aren't getting Ryan Anderson in a Melo trade do you not understand? They are obviously trying to get assets from a 3rd team. Also, stop acting like Melo is not a aging star. The knicks will get good assets to aide their rebuild, thats all they should expect. The aim should not be to hold melo hostage because you as organization ruined his value and are upset at the return. Cut your losses, move on.

Anderson and a 1 (for sure DM will include a pick, either a 1 or 2) is 100% better than what we got for our aging otherworldly superstar Hakeem Olojuwan. So, there's that.

Yeah, if that was on the table it'd been done. Anderson has no takers, and hasn't had any since Portland backed out. Until someone changes their mind it's going to take additional assets just to DUMP Anderson. Not receive assets back, let alone Melo. That's how bad the league views his salary.

Good thing it only takes "1" 3rd team to join the party. There were teams lining up to pay RA that contract last year, now that he's on the move its become a horrible contract. Stretch bigs with damn near half court range don't come cheap, i guess.

Don't expect a star coming back in return for melo. Did you see what PG13 got traded for? Melo's trade market is only 1 team. Lol

*** being logical. This thread is not about logic. It's about emotion.

Besides- the NBA's history is filled with one sided trades. You act like this is something new.

Damn- I'm being logical or is it emotional. ***

The problem with the Knicks is they never cared or worried about upside.

Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek was at a gym in Manhattan this week to watch a pickup game featuring Carmelo Anthony and other NBA players, per league sources. It's unclear if Hornacek was there to watch/support Anthony or to watch other players in the game but his presence is worth noting given the current situation between the Knicks and Anthony. The club would like to trade Anthony and Anthony would like to be moved but NYK hasn't found a suitable deal yet. Anthony has been working out with trainer Chris Brickley at the Lifetime Fitness gym in Manhattan this summer and playing pickup with several NBA players, including LeBron James and Kevin Durant, at the gym.
