honestly don't know... this WH is so weird.

As for Bannon- when he called Trump an "arrogant fool", you knew Trump is either going to get rid of him or allow the public to view him as being under Bannon's control.

Is this what his minions meant when they said "you will not replace us"? :D

Role of strategic advisor to remain unfilled.

No need for strategy... need more tactics.

OK, admittedly nothing important about the tweet. I just think Sara Murray is a cutie, and wanted to see her twitter picture again. :p

On a serious note, Mike Pence was responsible for the vetting of Bannon, Flynn, and Gorka. Only Gorka remains (another white nationalist extremist). Funny to look back at this White House photo and see how many are gone...

Couple funny things I read on the interwebz...

Apparently the final straw was when Bannon sucked his own $%#@ in today's strategy meeting at Camp David.

Trump is cutting the White House budget by having everyone work on 1099's

With Bannon gone, does Trump now become the 46th president?

I am here all week and don't forget to tip your waitress.

Trump cannot fire Pence, so he is safe.

Interesting take. I'm been enjoying the long ride the market has given us, starting long before trump arrived, of course. Under normal circumstances, I would be excited about getting Bannon away from trump, but based on trump's increasingly bizarre and unstable behavior, having Bannon attacking him from way over on the Right now that he's been unleashed could very well make trump worse. That's a scary thought, and I would be glad to be wrong. Not for trump, of course, who is a walking, talking chunk of excrement, but because it would be better for a nation literally under siege from a White House out of control.

The world is an increasingly dangerous place. War could break out between India and an aggressive China any day now. They are confronting each other in the area of tiny Bhutan, an Indian ally. The rhetoric, begun in the state controlled Chinese media, and now ramped up in India, is getting dangerously hysterical.

Elsewhere, China may attempt to pull a "Scarborough Shoal" with the Philippine's main possession in the Spratly's, the only one with an airfield (that they are about to modernize), Thitu Island. The Chinese are moving large numbers of fishing boats near the island, one of their favorite tactics in the South China Sea, the fishing fleets being under government control and often manned by paramilitary "fishermen," and they are backed by China's enormous "Coast Guard" ships, and they are backed by the Chinese navy.

With someone resembling an intelligent president, one would expect the US Navy to support an important ally and prevent Chinese meddling, there and at Scarborough Shoal, another possession of the Philippines. With trump in office (and Obama's inaction has contributed to things coming to this pass, to be fair), China is counting on US inaction. Inaction because of the man more interested in tweeting attacks at those he perceives as having slighted him. I won't even get into an increasingly aggressive Russia under trump's pal, Putin. And North Korea? Mr. trump's toothless bluster has made things far worse. We may end up involved in a major war before the nation can vote this lunatic out of office. No sane person wants that to happen.

No he can't, but he can isolate him to the point of Pence resigning.

Given the report that Bannon submitted his resignation on August 7, let's think about all the things that happened since then:

    1. Bannon's interview with the American Prospect. The report today certainly puts what he said in a new light. Bannon was spouting off because he was already out.

    2. Trump's response(s) to Charlottesville. People can blame Trump's White Nationalist tendencies on Bannon or his "wing" of the staff. It's clear now, if there was any doubt, that Trump didn't need anyone's help pushing him that way.

    Hmm... This could get interesting:

So all the important operatives who helped Trump get elected are out; Priebus who secured the GOP convention without a challenge and Bannon who secured the alt-right base. This just shows how Trump repays loyalty. Who's next, Sessions -- the first politician to public support Trump thereby legitimizing his candidacy?

How long before GOP and Bannon go to war with Trump?

I must not have been paying attention to McMullen when he ran... this was his VP?
