    Is THAT why they built statues of him in the South? Because Lincoln thought him a good general?

    This is dumb stuff.

    Statues in a museum=history
    Statues in public parks=monuments of honor

    The idea that the statues of these people are meant to educate on history is just dumb. They were built to honor the leaders of the Lost Cause, the men who bravely fought to keep the negro in chains.

    Yes, the point is that you will lie and misrepresent innocuous statements like those above as somehow justifying violence towards police. At no point in those quotes nor in the linked transcript is any such sentiment in evidence, except in the minds of deluded people like you.

    The irony of Trump, his admin, and his supporters #sad! about the removal of Robert E Lee and other statues honoring Confederate figures is that Trump is closing/removing protection of many Federal parks.

    True really true but in order to stoop them there has be a leader that is willing to understand what is needed by all groups to come together and see that we are all of one race the human race and not live by color of ones skin.

    Hey I don't disagree. This mess started because we had a bad leader that supported this type of nonsense and it won't stop now that we have a different leader who makes the same types of mistakes. Till we find the type of leader that can make the crazies on both side stop their BS, we'll just have to deal with it.

    While the status removal is going on, it's important to remind folks what the w.s. and nazi were really protesting about.
