I was playing basketball today and this guy who was good did a crossover and I went for the steel, then he did a behind the back and as i lunged for it I tried goin back but I rolled my ankle. I can barely walk on it, any advice?
Defensive drills. I know your ankles are hurting, but how injured is your pride? I'm praying for your swift recovery.
Ice it the first couple of days then slowly push its boundaries. Dont be afraid to start trusting it when the swelling goes down. Ive sprained ankles and wrists countless times skating. After 2-4 weeks the biggest hurdle is a mental hurdle. Sometimes it doesnt heal to 100% until you start exercising it again. How severe was it? Did you need crutches or nah
Stay off it, plenty of ICE and Tigers Balm. Play NBA 2k while smoking bowls and medicating on the couch, tell your woman to make you a Sandwhich. Refer her to the Club Sandwich Thread for pointers. Next time try to Steal instead of "Steel"
Ice it three times a day for three days, then smoke a blunt and squeeze massage the **** out of it while flexing it up and down to the best of its strength for 30 min a day until you can jump on it again. Should take about a week depending on the dankness of the weed and your pain tolerance. I slipped on a damp mat next to the flowers in walmart and suffered a nasty high ankle sprain damn thing blew up like a balloon but with my technique I was jogging a week later, jumping will probably take a bit longer
MARBLES! Jar of marbles, carpet, pour them out, put em back using your toes. Will totally strengthen your ankles once you're ready for rehab.
Mix in some LEGO just for fun. Start range-of-motion exercises as soon as the pain and swelling die down. The long stretchy strap things are great for that.
ppl always ask cfnet for expert advice OP, you really should be asking Jeremy Lin about your broken ankle.
It must be such an honor to not only get crossed but also be blessed with a sprained ankle courtesy of @paulftsk.
Rub some dirt on it. That won't help in any way, but you can say that you did it already to the next ******* that gives you that advice.
