Right now? No. Relievers need to be able to throw strikes. You are up 5 runs and you are out there walking guys? Unacceptable. Early returns have been abysmal.
Liriano won't be brought in to face RHHs at all in important games and situations. He will solely be a LOOGY.
Peacock went up against some serious baseball voodoo in that inning but he knuckled down and put the Dbacks away. For a game that started out with Springer getting robbed on a liner to left, it sure ended up OK.
Bullpen depth when Harris gets healthy is going to be absolutely absurd. Musgrove Martes Liriano Clippard Gregerson Harris Devenski Giles Not even counting Hoyt who has been great since he got recalled.
second game of the season I missed. Like an idiot, I was waiting for an 8 30 pm start all because I didn't check the first page of the thread yesterday nor today. I caught the 'replay' when I tuned in at 8 30 it was already in the 7th.
Going to the game tomorrow night! This is the first game I will have seen of the Astros, live or on TV, since their abomination of an owner sold his soul for tens of millions of dollars and took the team from the league that plays baseball the way it was intended to be played. I've been on strike long enough and I'm excited about returning to the Juice Box again. Go Astros! Beat the Snakes!
I'll be there, too- that 15-game pass thing starts up again tomorrow (game #5 of 15). I have no idea where I'm sitting until about 1 PM.
